aspiration is the medical term for breathing in (blood filling the lungs) and choking. this person breathed blood into their trachea (windpipe) and choked to death.
without the specific details of the person's case/condition, it's hard to say why they exactly aspirated blood and died. if they had facial injuries, the bleeding could have drained through the sinuses and into the throat-causing choking and death. but this is just one of many examples of how it happened

aspiration of blood means that this person died from blood entering their lungs and basically drowned from it. in this case blood from the head injuries probably entered the persons and filled their lungs.

Aspiration is breathing in, so I guess they drowned in their own blood which is an awful thought

Aspiration means the drawing of a fluid. If I had to guess it means they basically bled to death.
