It seems to me family doctors are supposed to test for functionality of the different vital organs periodically for detection of abnormalities. Tests were not done every once in awhile and she now has kidney disease.

When my partner walks, its seems as though he is walking like he is drunk.

He has had his ears syringed, we have burnt an Hopi candle in the ear.. and nothing.

I thought it could be vertigo, but he says the floor or the surrondings are not spinning.

He has no pain in the legs at all, or in the hips.

He has to hold on to the walls as he walks.

Anyone know what it could be?

I had a kidney stone treated 3 years ago, by Lithotripsy?Lithotropsy?. I have just started to get pain again and been told it could be an infection OR a new stone.
Has any one had subsequent stones and how long did they take to develop?
I was hoping it would be longer than 3 years!!
And for all those who haven't had one they hurt like hell, almost as bad a labour pains, I should know I have 3 kids!!

My mother has parkinsons disease, I am told that PRN means she can't have her pain medication unless she ask for it? Yet she can't ask for it because she no longer has the ability to do so? Another person tells me that it doesn't mean that at all, so can someone help me out? Thanks

Since numbness and clumbsiness in the hands are symptoms of MS, is it possible that someone who experiences these symptoms could lose complete motor functions in their hands?

Has it happened before? Any links with specific info?

About 4 days ago, I started getting pains in my stomach after I would eat. It felt like gas pains. On the 4th day, I went to a restaurant & ate salad and a bowl of minestrone soup for lunch. I felt some pain after that. Then I ordered Tai food (garlic shrimp) for dinner. The pain started again and became more severe throughout the night. The pain was constant & it kept me up half the night. I woke up to go to work and I couldn't get myself together because the pain was severe and I also became nauseus. I tried to vomit and nothing would come up, only a little saliva. I tried pepto bismol and I just vomited that up. Throughout the day I kept running to the bathroom to vomit. My stomach lining feels very bloated and painful to the touch. It's the second day and the constant pain subsided, but I still have the bloated soreness in my stomach. I'm able to eat, but this pain is annoying. I never had diarrhea or anything. Does anyone know what this could be?

Hi everyone, i have been living with dizziness for the last five years, im in a constant state of dizziness, it started at approx same time as the panick/anxiety attack five years ago, i was on proxatine for 18 months, off the tablets back to normal now, dizziness is still here, i feel off balance even with eyes closed, can get worse with sudden movements, even worse upon waking morning time but dies down a little after 10 minutes, i feel extremly fatigued after breakfast, recently had an MRI scan and ears checked no cause for concern apart from ears have gone in a little from the inside, have been given exercises, not much help with the dizziness, i have been taking conium recommended by a homeopathic doctor, not much luck either, my blood pressure has been a little high recently 140 over 105
even as high as 180 over 110 very rarley, i would really appreciate some honest and usefull advice, thank you in advance.

Last september I had arthroscopic surgery of my right knee. I still get stiffness after walking or exercise. Lately, I have noticed my right foot pointing outwards while walking and now i have developed pain in my calf when I walk. I am considering partial knee replacement in the near future.
I was wondering if some one has had a similar experience I would also like someone to share with me their experience if they had a partial knee surgery done.
Any information would be appreciated. If no objection I would also ike to contact for a follow up question(s).
thx

I was diagnosed with diviticulosis but the CT scan and ultra sound have shown it is not real bad. I have had this pain in my upper right side for quite awhile now and also about a year ago my feet just all the sudden swelled up (toes too). It went away after about a week but has come back three times now and about a couple months apart. I have had 2 dye CT scans, an ultrasound and blood work and they can't seem to find what's wrong. I do get burning in the stomach so I know the diviticulosis is causing some problems but pain shouldn't be up that far and swelling? Any ideas I would really appreciate!

I've been having a lot of fainting spells, and I had my most severe one this morning - where I sprained my wrist, injured my back, and got a concussion/contusion. Anyway. The ER doctor referred me to a cardiologist, to have some tests one. I've seen one before - I have MVP. What kind of tests will they be running on me?

I kept telling my husband NOT to rub his eye or lift & bend...his answer was: "Old habits are hard to break!" He is sooo stubborn & says I'm a NAG! How can I get him to understand that this is serious & I am NOT a NAG! I just care!

if someone is on the list for an organ transplant, say a lung or a liver, and they are either a smoker or an alcoholic, and you KNOW that they wouldn't stop smoking or drinking, is it fair that they should receive an organ ahead of someone whose illness warrants their need for a new organ? should the person who abuses their body get a new organ before a sick person gets one, just because they are ahead on the list?

I am currently on 20mg of prednisolone. The dosage was reduced to the current amout after taking it for six months. I am suffering from side effects such as severe acne flare ups, moon face, weight gain, insomnia, mood swings, occasional muscle pain, excessive growth of hair and stretch marks. I had asked the doctor about the stretch marks and he said that they will become less visible when i stop taking the medication but they will stay there forever. I am so depressed sometimes and really do not know what to do.I want to know whether if i will slim down and the excessive hair grown will drop when i stop medication?

Last August I had my surgery and now my arm "clicks" when i raise it loud enough for other people to hear. The thought of having to go through it again has me wondering if anyone else has this problem, and did you go back to surgery or live with it? I am wondering if scar tissue isn't built up in there.
