My mother-in-law is about 56 years old. She has always been somewhat of a scatterbrain, but lately she seems to forget just about anything me or my husband tell her (i.e. our schedules for getting together, important events, etc.). I find myself constantly frustrated with her forgetfulness, and I'm starting to wonder if maybe this is the beginning of Alzheimers. Does anyone have any advice/comments on this behavior? Being an in-law, I feel I'm not in a place to suggest she seek a diagnosis from a Dr.

My grandfather is 77 years old he has a blood shot eye that is completely red and complains with the back of his head hurting. He hasn't fallen or anything like that. He refuses to go to the doctor. Any idea what could be the cause of this? He has had a couple heard attacks and one stroke with couple mini strokes. He is on blood pressure medicine, but thats about all I know. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I'm 20 years old. I found out Friday I'm being diagnosed with MS. In two weeks we will be discussing our treatment plan. But I keep reading all these personal stories about people with MS. I read them and think "oh thats not gonna happen to me." But in the harsh reality of things.. This is my future. Will it hit me when I get my first shot of a slow down MS progression shot? Will it hit me when I'm struggling more day to day? I just hope I progress slowely and things can be normal... But I'm sure all new cases say the same thing. Everyone I love and know have high hopes that things will be normal since it's been caught early. But what if they aren't normal, I have no garantee. I worry about the strain that will be on my husband and I who have only been married .3 months and finding out this new.. What will it do to us? I'm very confused...

I say yes. Religious people like Bush are anti-science. This needless Iraq war has cost billions and medical research has had funds cut because of the war costs. Medical research has been hurt by right wingers like Bush. 1500 people die from cancer daily yet research has been delayed. Even stem cell research has been hurt by Bush. Galileo was persecuted because he proved that the world revolves around the sun and this was against religion. I will never vote for a evangelist for President because I don't want science hindered.

I've just found out that my best friend has died, apparently of cirrhosis of the liver. He was only 39. I hadn't talked to him for a few months, as we live halfway across the world from each other, but the last time I talked to him he sounded alright and did not mention anything to me about being ill. I know that he had been drinking quite excessively, but I had NO idea he was drinking as much as apparently he had. From what his sister has said, he called 911 on a Monday, vomiting blood and having breathing trouble, by Monday night he was considered brain dead and by Tuesday he had died. Could he have known how ill he was? He hated doctors, so I don't know if he'd seen one prior or not. How could he have died so suddenly? Surely, if he were so ill he were about to die, he would have been ill enough to have been hospitalised before it got so bad he called 911...? I'm left with too many unanswered questions, but I was just wondering if any of you out there know anything, thanks.

He was in a major accident causing major skull fractures, broken leg, right on hip and Femur bone. Both of his cheek bones were crushed, his teeth were pushed and shifted into his jaw, he will need alot of x-rays, and a major leg surgery But he does not have insurance, and his family needs financial support, and counseling. The rest of the family wants to know if there is any foundation, or oganization, or charities out there willing to help my nephew and our family. May God not let that bleeding in his brain get any worse, or else he will need brain surgery as well, as plastic surgery. They are a very strong, and christian family. But sometimes it is hard to maintain strong. Please someone let us know if there is any help we may be able to have. Please, they are at Ft. Worth TX. Thank you. And God bless Luke.

In April, I noticed that there was a round spot on my breast that looked something like a bruise, it had been there for quite a while, at least 6 months and I never thought anything of it... I did notice that my chest, just above my breast, seemed to be out more than the other side... I went to the dr. and I had an ultrasound and the ultrasound came back normal. I've been crazy busy since and haven't had time to go back to the doctor... but the bump on my chest seems to be a bit larger than it was before, its very flat and it is hard, and my dr. suggested that it may be muscle...
I have also notice two more much smaller spots on my chest, which look like bruises...
I decided to look it up and came across inflammatory breast cancer, could it be this?
I do not have itchiness, warmth, dimples,or anything like that, and it says the swelling is usually around the armpit, where the lymph nodes are, but mine is on my chest? I'm worried, does anyone know much about this, could i have IBC?

today i went to the bathroom, but only to urinate and when i stood up i noticed a very small, string like thing.. it looked like stool but very small then there was blood on it . there was not blood when i wiped though on the toilet paper..it was just on the stool. it was also kind of mucusy. my stomach has been bothering me lately, but i figured it was just stress due to finals and an upcoming dance recital. this has never really happened before and i dont know if i should be concearned. the blood wasnt really bright red but it wasnt too deep in color either..and it was only a small amount. please dont just tell me theres something wrong with me and to go to a doctor. should i just wait to see if it happens again? thanks.
