My grandfather is 77 years old he has a blood shot eye that is completely red and complains with the back of his head hurting. He hasn't fallen or anything like that. He refuses to go to the doctor. Any idea what could be the cause of this? He has had a couple heard attacks and one stroke with couple mini strokes. He is on blood pressure medicine, but thats about all I know. Any ideas would be appreciated!

This could be so many things that your grandfather really needs to see a doctor. The headache and blood shot eye could indicate an impending stroke or a dramatic increase in his blood pressure. Of course, both could also indicate a fall with some bleeding into the skull...he may have fallen and not remember and no one was aware of it. That is only two things it might be...there are others. Please try to get him to a doctor to be on the safe side!
