I've been under a lot of stress and i've been feeling really burnt out. The only thing i find lets me relax and not feel so tense is to take a lukewarm water sea salt bath. Are there any dangers? I don't drink any, I just simply soak in it.

I know lots of people say that there is no link between vacinations and autism, but my 5-year-old, healthy little boy has his kindergarten physical tomorrow and I'm scared to death of something happening because of his shots. Anyone have any info to put my mind at ease?

This has always had me wondering.
I believe Alcoholism a mental disorder not a disease.
One reason I say this is b/c Depression, Anxiety, etc. are not diseases but mental disorders. And they manifest certain uncontrollable behaviors.
I believe Alcoholism is classified as a disease is for insurance benefits.
BTW, does anyone know what year this classification was made. I was thinking in the early 70's.

I have ridiculous tension in my body, the worst part is that sometimes I will go for months on end with intense chest pounding and palpitations and I can even feel my heart pounding when its at a normal pulse rate. I also have TMJ issues and frequent twitching, etc. Doctors have told me its "just anxiety" however I wonder if the root cause here is something more. Does anyone have similar symptoms, have they found out how to fix it, cause I'm at a level so intense that the casual "just relax" concept doesn't work - I have to continually shake my leg just so I don't feel my chest pounding. Maybe this is hyperthyroidism, is that a symptom? It seems that the hyperthyroid can actually cause anxiety too, maybe its both?

I've had problems with my gall bladder over the past several years. Last fall, I started throwing up and having severe pain. I was so sick and so weak, I finally gave in and went to the ER. The dr. said I had a gastrointestinal flu and gave me meds for it. For several days afterwards, I was still so sick, I thought I was going to die. For 3+ weeks after, I was weak, very sick. The dr. gave me antibiotics and I finally began to feel better. Someone later asked me it it might have been my gall bladder that caused my problem. Could a gall bladder attack cause those symptoms? Can a all bladder rupture and someone live through it? I know if it ruptured, there could be a major infection, but I did take antibiotics.

Is anyone familiar with epiploic appendagitis (not appendicitis)? It's somewhat rare, but I had it about 1 1/2 years ago. I had some pains today that made me wonder if one would be prone to repeat attacks. I've read about it but I didn't see anything about it recurring.

My daughter is 6. She broke into a rash. We have ticks bad around so I searched for a tick. I found one. I assume RMSF. Iasked if her neck hurt. She said yes. I felt for any tightness and swelling. I found a big not instead. Different location from tick. Dr. concluded that she has no infection and blood work is normal. He said the knot is a swollen lymph node. He said if it is not gone in a month bring her back. It has been a month. No illness of any kind. The knot is still present. It is the size of a bean. It is firm. No redness and no pain she says. It feels like it may be attached to something. It has not shrunk in size. No other lymph nodes are swollen. Should I be worried or is this a common issue. Just the one. I am going to get a specialist to check it because it is definately cause for concern to me b/c she is my baby. Any advice would be appreciated. Maybe it is just an over reaction but a mothers intuition is a powerful thing.

Lately I get this general feeling of weakness that I can mainly feel in my eyes, if that makes sense. Sometimes I have to think about focusing on things. Also if I move my head from side to side i can get pretty. Also my eyes always feel tired, though in reality I got plenyt of sleep. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks!

I also have Social Anxiety Disorder and insomnia. I know I'm disabled but I've been told by some people that because my husband has a job and insurance I probably won't qualify. I never worked a job outside the house. I was a mother/wife. So I can't try to get SS. SSI is Supplemental Security Income. I go to court June22. I'm so scared to get in front of people if I just knew I had a chance maybe it would help me feel better. Thank you.

I was diagnosed with IBS a few years back and was taking Zelnorm. To be honest, Zelnorm didn't do much for me. I still had constipation and bloating (I am in constant pain and the doctors say nothing, I just came to the realization that I will have to live with the pain the rest of my life). I was told that wearing panty hose helps with some abdominal pain and pressure. I have been trying it on and off for the past few months and it makes all my symptoms WORSE. Everytime I wear anything tight, I seem to get even MORE bloated. It feels as if my body is pushing BACK on the clothes. On the days I wear loose clothing, I don't experience this problem. I am in a fairly conservative industry and all the ladies are required to wear panty hose (I will switch to thigh highs and if anyone has a problem they can shove it up their who-who). Is there any correlation between waering panty hose and abdominal pain? Could I have something severe? My Dr's tell me NOTHING
