I suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome. However, lately I have been experiencing more intese nervous (kind of like) shocks all over my body when I am trying to fall asleep. They last for about a second. anyone has any idea what this may be? It has been happening once every night for the last week.

Generally sick feeling everyday? I'm not sure, but for some reason, can't explain why, but think it has something to do with bowels. This is embarrassing, but after I "go" sometimes I feel better for a while, but the feeling comes back off and on through the day. Sometimes my stomach has a mild "burning" like feeling, sometimes I slightly feel like I could vomit. Yes, sometimes eating something, like a piece of toast helps. Anyone else ever experienced this & what was the cause/diagnosis/treatment? Any answers serious answers would be appreciated!!

I am in tons of pain and it is causing sinus problems and headaches. I have been referred to an ENT-I guess maybe that is all they do is mostly surgery?

My son is almost 7 yrs. old and on Saturday he was acting very funny. He was very quiet and withdrawn, pale, and wouldn't eat. I took his temp. and it was 95.1. Which I thought was very low. He was not exposed to anything real cold. I immediately wrapped him up in blankets and his temp. did go up.
Why would that happen? Should I call his doctor? Does anybody know if this could be a side affect from taking Adderall XR.? He takes that for ADHD.

Yesterday (after a big Father's day lunch with key lime pie) I suddenly felt lightheaded. My hands were trembling so much I could barely hold up the book I was reading. Both my arms felt very weak and my mouth was dry. I made some green tea and the feeling passed in about 1/2 hour. I had no pain, but my heart was pounding, maybe from anxiety. Any ideas besides too much to eat?

im very nervous please help me figure this out. im 23yr male in good health never had anything wrong.here is my story. for about a year now i had werid things happen. first i was getting tired and feeling sick w/o a temp. i went to the doctor did blood work nothing showed up at all, eveyrhting looked good. back in oct a month after this i was getting lower back pain in the kidney area and a little lower. so my dr sends me for a ultrasound of the kidneys, showed no stones or tumors in that area. then i was getting stomach pain for months so i got another ultrasound, nothing showed excpet a slightly enlarged spleen. he sends me to a heamotagolist, he does blood work and nothing shows, he said he thinks i have epstein barr. i was telling him about my back pain that comes and goes hasnt got worse or better. he said maybe he should get a ctscan to check the lymph nodes. but didnt think it was necessary. so i decided not to do it. the pain comes and goes is in the lower back really low.

I have been having digestive problems for years (chronic constipation) and have gone to see many regular medical doctors but I continue to have the digestive issues. This chronic issue has also caused me to start having severe anxiety so bad that I very very rarely go out anymore. Sometimes I don't even answer my front door. It's getting bad and seems to be worse as the years go by. I want to go to a good doctor and was just wondering if a doctor of internal medicine would be a good choice? There are no specialist (gastroenterologists) anywhere near me so I can only choose from regular medical doctors (of which I've been to see many with no results whatsoever on my conditions) and then I've seen listings for several Internal Medicine doctors so I was thinking maybe on of those could help me. I've never gone to an Internal Medicine doctor and don't know anything about what they do or specialize in so could someone provide some insight & let me know if they are a good choice for me?

Alright, I have OCD right, and I was washing my hands over a rug and I feel like I cheated on my girlfriend, the reason is, I flex'd my penis while walking away from the rug, and normally when I flex my penis its to urinate or something like that, actually im not even sure... I wasnt naked or anything and I did it mindlessly pretty much, without much thought, im not sure why exactly i did it.., it doesnt make sense, is this just an OCD thought? or did I really do something bad that I should tell my girlfriend? I didnt infect the rug with anything that I know of, but the thing is, I was trying not to do that prior to washing my hands, like not flex my penis just normally walk away... and i ended up doing it, like mindlessly? should I just discard this instance or did I really do something bad?

Hi everyone,

A very good friend of mine is going through something very difficult. Day by day his ability to walk degrades, he has had so many tests done, including being tested for colon cancer and his doctors can't find anything wrong. He's 34 years old and lists his symtoms as tightening pain around the abdomen and tingling in his legs but not all the time. Any suggestions are welcomed.

About 2 weeks ago my daughter had a tick attached to her head. We removed it with tweezers and as far as I know we got the "head" out, after we removed it, there was a red bump on the area, now there is still a bump, it is smaller than it was and is not red anymore but it is hard. Also last night at bed time she started to complain of a headache ( she has never complained of a headache before) and I asked her to point to where it hurt and she pointed to an area close to the tick bite, then I asked her if it just hurt to touch or if it hurt inside her head, she said inside her head like it was pounding, then about 15 minutes later she said that it went away, then another 15 minutes she said that it hurt again, I took her temp, it was normal. She went to bed and woke up this morning and she said that she felt fine.
Should I take her to the dr. to get tested for lyme or any other disease that ticks carry? BTW I live in Iowa.

This is gonna sound weird, but I sort of have this bone in my shoulder that sticks straight up(I don't know if it's a bone, I just know it's hard), was wonderin if anyone else has this problem?? My doc thought it was an extra liver at first, but then he touched it and realized it was hard, and was baffeled. He don't even know what it is. It is also causing severe shoulder pain. I've done stretches and everything to get the bone back into place like it should be, but it just stays there, all nice and pointy in it's pointy glory. I was just wondering if I was rare, or if other people had this problem too. It's really weird cause I can twist my arm all the way around without it hurting. Any suggestions??

I get a severe headache about once a month with a stinging burning sensation in the middle of my forehead. Along with this headpain also comes a weird feeling: if i lay down, and turn my head from one side to the other, slowly, and letting my head linger on 1 side or the other, i can feel a heavy heavy rush to one side & back to the other side if i turn that way. Almost like blood is flowing back & forth when i move my head. I dont hear a noise or anything like that, just the heavy pressure of something "rushing" to the side my head is most turned to, like if i lay on my side-my head is turned to that side-therefore the pain is heavy on my head. There is no pattern of when my severe headache comes on, no amount of pain meds seem to work, i've gotten this twice now in the past 2 months. I have an appointment with a neurologist, but would like some info. from any sufferers out there of this kind of pain, it's unlike any other headaches, i also get 2-3 regular headaches a month

i dont know if this has anything to do with it or not but ill just say it all.I am a healthy 18 year old female. I had my tonsils out two weeks ago. I stopped taking the pain killers 6 days ago(they gave me oxycontin every 12 hours and vicadin every 4 hours). I am normally VERY healthy but I have a fever of 101 and i have had the runs(sorry to get personal but im just saying it all) and stomach cramps since friday. My mom called the dr on friday and they said that it has nothing to do with my surgery or medication. But everything I eat/drink is completely out of my body within a few hours. Im in so much pain and completely MISSERABLE! Im leaving wednesday for a trip and I really want to be better by then. What can I do to feel better? When should I go to the hospital if this does not stop? Im a nurse aide and medical assistant so I know that I need to drink a lot and stay hydrated(I already drink a lot of water since the tonsillectomy)but thanks 4any SERIOUS advice I am just so sick.

I supposedly have really bad acid reflux. Some of the symptoms include heartburn, spitting up acid, loss of appetite. I have tried using over the counter, prescription, and non-prescription medicines and nothing has helped. I have watched my diet and it hasn't helped either. Although, I almost think pizza is the catalyst. Do you know anyone that has a problem similar to this? Or do you do what it could be?
