Yesterday (after a big Father's day lunch with key lime pie) I suddenly felt lightheaded. My hands were trembling so much I could barely hold up the book I was reading. Both my arms felt very weak and my mouth was dry. I made some green tea and the feeling passed in about 1/2 hour. I had no pain, but my heart was pounding, maybe from anxiety. Any ideas besides too much to eat?

Yeah, it does sound like diabetes or some other hypo/hyperglycemic issue. My suggestion is to lay off on sweets and simple carbs and get a fasting blood sugar test from your doctor as soon as possible.

Could you describe your own symptoms in a few sentences? In your own words I mean. You have an "unreal feeling," like life is a movie and you're watching yourself act? Or like you have no Freudian Ego so you don't have a mental self concept? That could be any kind of panic disorder as stated. Are you type A personality? Like you're always on the go, and you'd usually get irritated at other people when they "slow you down" or something like that.

You might need a trip to the doctor. This could be a sign of diabeties. Sounds like your sugar is messed up. I would say try to stay away from sweets, and go get a check up as soon as you can.
