Alzheimer's is hitting the "Baby Boomers" as early as age 40. One of the tests for Alzheimer's is asking the person to count backwards by 7's from 100. Even if she can do this, it doesn't mean that she's free of early Alzheimer's Disease. The disease progresses very slowly. There are treatments to slow it down and a lot of work is being done to find a cure.

The best advice I can give you is not to wait. Have her see a doctor. Have another adult speak to your doctor and list her symptoms. Please, hurry!

your mom is probably just that getting into senility or early stage alzheimers. there are many drugs such as furmigil.... you are asking in the wrong place. if she is forgetting could be lots of things.... you MUST go to a medical professional. This is not the right kind of place for these questions.

This may or may not be early signs. She may be simply stressed out or have many things on her mind at the same time. This really something you need to discuss with a professional. If it is, you need to know asap. Early intervention can significantly prolong the onset of the later stages.

She has symptoms of it. I'm sorry. Here's a link for a list of symptoms and tests used to diagnose it. I hope this helps.
