I've been sick now for two months, off and on. I've had sore throats, ear infections (both ears), low grade fever, small headaches, and burning eyes (to the point they will water non stop). My nose gets so stuffy to the point i feel like i can't breathe. I've also been having anxious and irritable feelings, but i'm happy all the time still. I only get sad every once in awhile for no reason, but it only lasts for about 5 minutes and then i'm happy ol' me again. I know i don't have depression becacause i can't stand to iscolate myself, and i love being around my family/boyfriend as much as possible. The anxious/irritable feeling all started at the same time i started feeling sick. We have mold growing in our house on the ceilings and walls in some rooms, could this be causing my sickness? I've heard of toxic mold syndrome. I got checked for a bad thyroid, and no problems there, so that's out of the question.. and i don't have allergies.

I have deduced that the reason my mother becomes extremely dizzy upon moving her head while lying down is due to this form of vertigo. But another symptom I cannot work out is why she gets dizzy when she eats something. I understand that because she has pressure right under her ears, it is a definite vertigo problem, but do possible ulcers have a connection with dizziness? We have an appt. with an ENT doctor, but, for current ease, do any of you know cures or methods to fix this condition?
Thank you so much.

Is there a Dr/Nurse that can help me out here? My Dr's appt isn't till the 28th (soonest I could get) and I can't afford urgent-care visit. I don't know how serious this is--worried it's a clot.

Some background: I'm 33, fem, lrg (300lbs). Just got off of a 12-day WATER-fast (nothing but water for the entire duration). I found out later that I was apparently supposed to do a 4-day vegetable-juice fast PRIOR to doing this. So I guess that was mistake #1. Mistake #2 was my junk-food binge (no purging though) where I had mexican food, doughnuts, lots of fried shrimp, hamburgers, french fries and a rootbeer float (it was a buffet) over a period of three days immediately following the fast. Immediately after that binge last night, I noticed both of my ankles (not the feet though) were very swollen. No pain--even as I type this (which is the following day). Today I had a salad & pure orange juice & tomato soup. Swelling has gone down a little bit, but not much.

WOULD MASSAGING IT BE OK?

I mean... it seems to me... that We as a global-society say that we WANT to cure disease, but the fact is that doctors and hospitals and drug companies and health insurance companies, woud loose money if we were to suddenly cure everything....

Don't you think it kind of seems like they want us to get better but not alllll the way better. It's almost like they just want to cure the symptoms with a pill (an expensive pill) and have us go about our lives needing them... paying them...etc.

I've been taking 275mg of phenytoin for 22 years now. Since I started taking lamotragine alongside it, my seizures have reduced dramatically and the neurologist wants to get me off the phenytoin altogether. I'll be reducing it by 25mg each week. What side affects am I likely to notice - am I likely to feel more anxious, jittery or short-tempered for a while?

I feel like I have an OCD, I am obsessed with turning lights and plugs off all the time, I go round like four times to check everything is off and unplugged and I don't know why I do it. I'm not saying that it is as bad as some peopes OCD's but I get the feeling I have one. Does it sound like I do?

on the inside of the lids of some jars of soup that she bought at the health food store. She's in a panic because she has been eating this kind of soup for several months now and is convinced she has mold growing inside of her. I figure if the stuff was dangerous she would have died by now or at least be very sick. She points out that she has been sick. But, I observe, no sicker than usual. She has enjoyed poor health for many years. So is she in serious danger? And if so, what should she do about it?

I was diagnosed with ADD when I was younger. My hubby has noted that my hands shake sometimes. He said he's heard this is a sign of ADD.
I was just wondering if the shakiness is from my ADD or just me being stressed out or nervous.
Thanks!

Please I need help
For long time ago about 5 years ago I was trying to finish my life ( kill my self )
I used a tablets for nerve I toke 10 of these tablets and I faint for 2 days
And now I still have the problem I’ll explain
When I toke the tablets I felt so dizzy and my nerve move suddenly by it self to the directions I mean ( my hands and all my body shocking ) but not normal shock just for 2 or 5 seconds and if there is any thing in my hand in that time I cannot control it so this shock comes only when I’m so tired or smoked so much cigarettes
This problem really make me feel so bad and I started to hate my self for that
Some people told me it’s something like epilepsy but I think not and the others who saw me or exactly saw me while I’m shocking they told me it’s more electricity in your brain and the only way is to take ( I’m sorry I don’t know it by English ) but it’s some thing like electricity.

I am a 20 year old female. I was diagnosed with IBS nearly 3 years ago, and was keeping it under control with medication. 16 weeks ago, I had what the doctor assumed to be a flareup. I was in absolute agony, I had diarrhoea and constipation, and felt like I was being ripped in half. Since then, if I eat ANYTHING the symptoms return, and I have to spend up to 10 hours on the toilet if I eat. I've lost 4 stone, and have been unable to go out. I'm getting very depressed, especially since I should be starting Uni in sept, and I can't go like this. The doctor was treating me for diarrhoea, but it didn't work. The general surgeon thinks the main problem is constipation and took me off my medication, but this has made the problem even worse. Please could you give me some sensible advice or ideas of who to turn to? I can't go on like this!

Could someone please tell me if they know what I might be suffering from. Doctors don't seem to know and I have had this condition since I was 20. Some doctors say that the rash and the pain are not related, but having had it for several years, I know for certain that the two are related, since they always happen at the same time. The pain goes from my throat to the centre of my body, where it is chronic. It literally feels like someone is stabbing through to my back, or like a sharp crisp just sliced through from my throat to my centre. The rash is like hives - all over my body from scalp to soles of my feet. I know when I get the pain that the rash will follow the next day, or vice versa. I get this about four times a year on average and each time I feel as though I am dying from the intense pain. (the pain comes on when I lie down).I know of conditions like acid reflux but that doesn't cause a rash. Alternatively there are conditions that cause a rash but no pain. But both??HELP

I am a 20 year old female, and i have been diagnosed with kidney
stones after many visits in agonizing pain to the E.R.!!! I have now
learned that it is stuck in my ureter tube and is about the size of a
pen tip. My doctor thinks that surgery may be the route we will have
to go but we wont know for sure until next week. We are hoping that I
pass it before then, and if I havent then next week I will go for
another cat scan and see where it is at now. If it is still giving me
pain and it hasnt moved I can either wait for it to move naturally,
how ever long it takes, or we can do surgery.
SO.... what I would like to know is what some of you who have
had/have kidney stones think, and for some people ( women only m) to
tell me about their experiences with the surgery ( Pain level,
mobility after surgery, any bad things that happened, and how long you
were hospitalized after surgery, etc. ) and to hear some of you
stories about getting the stent pulled out!! ( Pain level, comfort
{did you feel it in you}, etc. ) so any info I can get would be
greatly appreciated!!!!!!! I am verry scared and very nervous, so
please help me!! THank You, KALEY

Ok, so i've lived in my house for about 4 years now. About a year ago we started seeing mold appear on our bathroom ceiling, and we asked the landlady about it and she said it's been there, but she bleached it out and painted over it and now it's just coming back. Well it wasn't too bad at first, but about four months ago our whole ceiling was spotted with it. Two months ago i started getting really sick non stop with headaches, body aches, sore throats almost every day, fatigue, and ear infections. A couple weeks later i started feeling anxious all the time and irritable. I looked these symptoms up on the internet and all of them combined pointed to toxic mold syndrome. I'm scared that i have it, mainly because the mold on our ceiling is black, the most dangerous kind. I'm scared of it getting to the point where i actually get depressed and so sick to the point i can't get out of bed. Is toxic mold syndrome curable? Do they have meds for it? I would like to know before i go to the doc

My 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy about a year ago. She has generalized seizures sometimes at night, plus partial seizures during the day sometimes.
She doesn't have the epileptic scream to wake me, and i have slept through 2 of them.
How do I deal with this without wanting to make her sleep in my room and making her feel like a baby?
