There are several causes of Tinnitus that I know of:
1. Allergies...some people get relief from antihistamines.
2. High Blood pressure (treat the high bp).
3. Fatigue (ever notice you will hear a pulsating sound or ringing when you go to lay your head on the pillow when you are really tired?)
4. Some meds will cause ringing in the ears.
5. Exposure to loud noise (the ringing should stop after a day or so when the noise exposure stops).
6. Unknown causes.
7. Hormone changes

Probably you suffer from disorder/infection of Eustachian tube and to rule out this you have to go to an ENT specialist.
Sometimes, subsonic and supersonic sound waves produced by music players give such symptoms as these waves are forcibly converged into the ear by the headphone.
You may try a MP3 player and good quality headphone to see if this ringing persists.

Go to your md and ask to be referred to an ENT (Ears, Nose, and Throat) specialist. Actually Tinnitus can be cured. There can be many causes, best bet is to go to your md and have it checked out properly by a professional.

try opening ur mouth wide for a while. keep doing it. i am not sure if you have air in it. i don't think using headphones a problem. I do the same thing everyday and nothing happened to me.
If it continues to happen, i suggust you to go meet the doc near your house. :) takecare

You should see your doctor. If u listen to loud music, it could be from that. It could be a lot of things, but common side effect to high blood pressure.

My ENT's office told me there was no cure for tinnitus and no treatment except for very severe cases. It can go away on its own but apparently no one knows how to make it go away.
