Hi. We are going through a temporary switch with our insurance with teachers retirement and don't have the 1,000 detuctable or insurance until Sunday...Could really use your help.

My husband is a dialysis patient and is temporarily using a catheter until his fistula develops. Today he couldn't run the dialysis machine on the full flow rate of 400---only 200 and ended up getting off early. Now where his catheter is, actually it is above it toward his neck, he has a lot of swelling. (The size of a soft ball.) He is going to put ice on it. We think it might be the way he slept last night.

Do you think this will be okay or what to do?

Thanks to anyone who responds.

I suffer from Acid Reflex disease.
I'd kill to make it go away.
I go to sleep with heartburn and wake up with heartburn, i have heartburn nearly every day of my life and sometimes i cant even lay down without getting heartburn.
Standard medication such as Zantec 75 that my doctor reccomended isnt cutting it for me.
what are some other medicines (even prescription meds) that work very well?

Thanks!!!!

P.S. I cant chew Tums because they not only make me gag, but if i manage to get them chewed without throwing up, its impossible to get it to go down.

I'm 3 months pregnant. I've had an 8cm cyst on my left ovary that my doctor's have been monitoring. I went to a specialist yesterday, and it's now 10cm. They are wanting to remove the cyst and the ovary within the next week and a half. They said they will have to cut from belly button down which is right where the baby is at. I'm a NERVOUS WRECK! I am going to have a specialist do it, but was curious has anyone had this happen or know anything about this?? Will the baby be ok? Especially with them opening my stomach completely up and being put under anesthesia? And removing my ovary...is this a major surgery-I'm literally scared to death and would like any advice anyone can give from experiences or knowledge. Thank you soo much!

I was wondering, what the symptoms are for Carpal Tunnel syndrome, if you have had it for a long period of time. I do have a Doctors appointment on Tuesday to talk about it, but these are my symptoms; Pains in my wrist and hands that last for days, it is hard to grasp objects, even drive, without being in pain, I wake up because my shoulders and upper neck are in pain and it doesn't go away, so I get up, because I can't go back to sleep. The pain from my wrists spreads to my elbows and shoulders. The other day I woke up and my shoulder and neck hurt so bad I could hardly move it(lasted for 2-3 days). I wake up because my hands(or feet are a sleep). Currently my foot and ankle feel like they are sprained, but I didn't do anything, I just woke up like this, and it has been bothering me for about 5 days. When I wake up in th morning the pain has spread to my calf and knee, but then dissapates throughout the day, so only my foot and ankle hurt. I need reliefe before Sat. Help??

I can certainly use a few extra bucks extra income. I’ve heard blood banks pay for people's plasma.

Does anyone have a round figure as to how much they pay?

I’m figuring on $50 a pint.

I’d also like to get on a routine schedule of selling pints.

I figure 4 pints a week would be very handy in the form of extra cash. I’ve already starting drinking lots of OJ and sugary snacks to get those levels up.

Lastly, does anybody know if I’d have to claim this on my taxes as income? If this all works out, I’d be looking at over $10,000 a year gross selling my blood. I’m hoping this is non-taxable income.

Hello all. My 2 year old sister was "diagnosed" with Rotavirus about 2 1/2 months ago. It seemed strange to me, I am a medical student and thought it odd. She had no diarrhea, one of the huge factors in diagnosing Rotavirus. She has been vomiting on and off for all of that 2 and a half months. The pediatrician says it's still Rotavirus. And still there is no diarrhea or fever. I thought it may be Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome but where she is only 2 the doctors refuse to believe that's what it is. Any ideas? Anyone had anything similar?! Thank You!

My face twitches, my arm and fingers twitch and shake, things are going numb, and all I get are more meds. I feel like the medications are causing these things! But if I go off my meds, I probably will be denied social security. I feel invaded and controlled by all these meds and am worried about long-term effects. Most are not working anyway.

My mother died some years ago. She was the most healthest 77year old you could know. Five months before her death she started getting sick to her stomach. We took her to many doctors and they found nothing wrong with her. One said it was depression and put her on an antidepressant pill. One day while she was at my home still feeling ill she fell over on my couch moaning. I took her to the emergency room and they thought it was her gall bladder. In the hospital they tested it and said that wasn't it. Next they said it was her heart Tested and not it. Next put her in ICU 3 days later she died.Five doctors there could not find anything. 3 siblings wanted autopsy and 3 said no! Mother always told us never to have that done all her life! Before death white blood cell count up in millions.Could have had heredity disease that in later life could affect my sisters and brothers? I don't know what happened to her! In this day and age how can that be? It will always be a mystery.

or other issues? My mother in law has smoked since she was 16 and she is 74 and smokes almost 2 packs a day. I know cause we buy them for her daily. (not with our money, she too feable to go in the store).

She takes all kinds of heart pills, vitamin e, is on oxygen at night and during the day sometimes. I do not get how someone that has smoked that long and smokes 2 packs a day does not have cancer. She does have a collapsed left lung and copd and emphezyma, but that is it and still smokes. Goes to the emergency room once a month for "breathing problems".

My uncle has smoked since he was 15 and has had 1 triple bypass, has large cell lung cancer, his right lung has collapsed already, is only 46, and is in the hospital now to get cured of pneumonia that he has had for 2 months. I dont get it. People who get cancer must have to have the gene, what do you think?

My Dad has had DVT a few times in the past. About 6 weeks ago he started to get pains in his lower leg when he walked for more than a few yards, and suspected that it was DVT again (he is not on wharfin at the moment). He went to the doctor, and they sent him to the hospital. In the past he had been diagnosed when they checked his leg in 2 different places to check that the blood flow was the same in both places. This time the lady he saw said that she didn't think it was a clot, but that she would give him a quick scan to make sure. She scanned his leg very quickly, said he was fine and sent him home. Now the "pain" has moved and is now under his foot so that it is painfull to put his foot down. What could be wrong with him? Could this be DVT? Or is it something less dangerous. He loves to walk so this is making his life miserable. Please help!

Hello I am almost 100% sure about a month and a half ago I suffered from a panic attack in the middle of the night! I think it maybe happening again but I don't know I can get it to calm down kinda but not go away. My heart is beating pretty hard and fast. My pulse is about 112times a minutes. Is this okay?? My chest and arms feel hot and cold sometimes and I feel a little disoriented and out of body and a little shaky I am tired but again it is almost 2 in the am i feel a little nausea every now and then. During the day sometimes I get short of breath and my heart starts to beat hard but I just sit down for a bit and breath if I dwell on it its seems to beat harder. Normally during the day it goes away because I am at work and am otherwise occupied. I do suffer from anxiety and my job has been stressing me out alot lately!! Am is just suffering from anxiety and panic or should I see a doctor about my heart?? I am only 22 years old thanks.

Hello! I suffer from a neurological problem (yet to be diagnose)... I suffer from neuropathy (aka nerve pain all over my body), numbness, tingling sensations, headache on/off, dizziness on/off, blurred vision on/off, carpal tunnel, lower back problem, problem concentrating, and weakness on my entire left side... Last week, the weakness became worse, so I went to the Emergency Department (ER) at the hospital I have my neurologist... After blood drawn, CT-Scan, and MRI done... They said, nothing as changed... Mine I have a doctor appointment in September 2007.

My question is this: Since my appointment is in September, how come my neurologist wants to see me in July, instead of September, could he have seen some in those tests that ER couldn't tell me?

Please I don't need wise crack jokes or nonesense stuff put up. I will personally rate you either up or down!

Thanks!

I had a nerve block done for pelvic/abdominal pain, and now I can't feel those regions (which is good). However for about a week, I've noticed odd pains in my abdomen. It woke me up last night. It's all over, but it hurts more on the right side. I don't have a lot of money so if possible, I'd rather not go to the hospital, but could this really be appendicitis, and I just can't feel it because of the nerve block?
