it has never really bothered me!
But in the last month i have been getting a bit of pain, and in the last couple of days i have had a lot of problems
eg: cramps, swelling, feeling sick, not being able to go to the toilet (if you know what i mean!) and all in all i have been in alot of pain!

so i went to the doctors today and they put me on a 8 plus week waiting list to have a op.
BUT i really do not think i will be able to wait that long.
what do you think i should do?
and is it safe to wait that long, when i am having so many problems with it?
has anyone else out there had this?
PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!

It's hard to wait when your in this much pain, if it gets worse go to the nearest ER and tell them the problem, they'll either call your doctor or give you the attention you need right now.

Your hernia may be pinching you on the inside causing a strangulation that could be harmful, let the doctor know so he can make a renewed diagnosis or have you enter the hospital.

Good lord. You waiting a year? I got a hernia last year and I got an appointment scheduled in less than a month if I can remember. Try calling around to some other doctors who perform those types of surgury. Good luck man, I was in a lot of pain afterwards. Make sure you have a friend take you and pick you up. I was pretty doped up on the pain meds from the surgurey and after the surgery. Best of luck!

I read that if it's getting in your way, as in pain, and the problems you described, an operation is needed immediately. When it is not causing any pain and you can live comfortably with it then you can wait a couple of months, sometimes for a couple of years, to go under surgery.
Did you tell the doctor that it hurts? When you say feeling sick, do you mean nausea? When you're vomiting is when you have to seek a doctor immediately.
Sometimes the pain signifies that it could become strangulated.
I hope you get treated soon. I also think I have one but I am too scared to have a doctor tell me it's something serious.

Your neighbor's puppy does not have papers besides - are they making plans to get papers? The hernia has not anything to do with the registry! - you'll nonetheless sign in your clutter regardless. However, I'm now not certain how secure it could be to reproduce a feminine with a hernia - it might rupture and intent critical harm or dying to her and/or the dogs!

Hernia surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her Hernia and colostomy surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for Minimal Invasive and Laparoscopy surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange Hernia, Appendectomy, Thyroid and other laparoscopy surgery for foreigners in India.
I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the Hernia, Colostomy and other minimal invasive surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
