I can feel a cold coming on but I have a very important event tomorrow. How can I get rid of my cold fast? It's not here yet, but I can feel it.

Zinc lozenges, as soon as you feel the cold coming on. It affects the cold and allows your antibodies to catch up.

Airborne & Zicam are great. You can also start taking echinacea - it helps boost your immune system. Just don't take it for an extended period of time (more than 3 weeks). It's meant to be used on a short-term basis.

Sudafed works. It's a bit of an upper but keeps you open so that it doesn't progress into the sore throat and fever thingie. If that isn't available, go to a drugstore and ask the druggist. They always know the latest and best stuff.

Can you get hold of paracetamol based hot lemon drinks like Lemsip - the supermarkets stock them? I think they're very good at fending off developing colds.

Go to the store and get some Airborn, or something similar. Ask the pharmacist. Also, take lots of vitamin c.

I like the product Airborne...developed by that school teacher and available at most stores, including Trader Joes.

GNC carries Coldsnap it wipes out a cold faster than anything else I have ever tried.

there is no cure to the common cold. u can only suppress the symptoms. i suggest buying robutussin for the cough and a throat lozenge for ure soar throat.

3 important things: Plenty of water, load up on vitamin C (emergen-C packets are great) and plenty of rest....Try to eat some chicken broth as well.

Zicam! That stuff is amazing. You take it right at the beginning of symptons showing...expensive, but well worth it!
