I know I spelled it wrong. But I am considering having surgery for my condition and I would like to know what to expect, recovery time, pain level. That sort of thing.

Hello,

Sometimes in my neck in the big vein, I get an intense pulsing with a headache and others can see my pulse in my vein beating hard! This last for about 20 seconds or so.

Anyone know what this could be?

Thanks,
Adam

I got cellulitis in my arm from an injection at a doctor's office. It's been about two weeks (on antibiotics) and the redness and swelling has gone down, but it still hurts and it feels like bugs are crawling around in my arm. Has anyone had this and knows how long I can expect this type of thing? Could there be nerve damage?

Since August 2006 ive had LPR , early march had norovirus stomach hasnt been the same since (tad more gas than usual, odd sensation in stomach, etc.) then in april i had reflux so bad it was in the back of my throat constantly. Doctor gave me protonix and Reglan. Protonix barely helped but reflux subsided it comes back now nightly almost and my stomach feels so much worse. Reglan makes me SUPER tired and depressed for a few hors but works. Had thyroid scan waiting to see results this week. I have at least 7 symptoms of Hyperparathyroidism including the reflux, tiredness, feeling bad but cant explain it, etc. Could this be hyperthyroidism my levels have been about right on 3 tyhroid tests and they arent high or low if you have hyperparathyroidism. Any experiences would be great thanks.

I feel cold even though I put myself under multiple blankets. My head hurts and I feel weak. I had a fever of 100.4. I vomited this morning but I have not vomited after that. Also yesterday i was taking some tylenol colds and I found out that they were expired. So I took a tylenol extra strength 1 hour earlier than I would have continued on tylenol cold. I am currently using the regular round tylenol pills.

Be specific. Is it pills? or injections like diabetis, does it hurt? What happens? I have all the symptoms, tired, sleepy, nervous, jittery, blured vision ( all of a sudden), nightmares, always thirsty, shaky when I eat sugar. I was never like this before, but since I've moved to England( 9 months ago, before I lived in the U.S.) I was always fine, I ran track & cross country there & always had energy &was never tired or nervous or had bad vision. Maybe its the complete change of my suroundings & habbits that has cause this I dont know. BUt im 17 & im going to the doctor soon & I just dont know what to expect & Im very nervous because doctors terify me & I cant tolerate pain. Can somebody tell me what to expect? cuz I think all of this nervousnes is making everything even worse.

My ears nose and throat doc recently told me I have a severly crooked septum that he wants to correct with surgery. I have had migraines for years, and I get atleast one a week. He says that there is a chance that this surgery will help. On top of the migraines he said I was allergic to timothy hay and bermuda grass, and that I was a level 4, which he didnt bother to explain. SO my question is, has anyone out there had a septoplasty for migraines?? Does it actually work ,and is it worth having the surgery? At this point I will do anything to stop the headaches, they prevent me from doing things with the family and that is a total bummer. Anyways, any comments are appreciated!! Thanks!!

long story and limited space, so i'll try to keep this brief.

- Motion sickness since Aug. '06, mostly in the car, bus was ok, Sept., woke up with vertigo
- Went to doc, got anti-nausea meds, didn't help, switched to ginger root, that seemed to control the motion sickness
- April '07, motion sickness worse, car, bus, even elevator, didn't go out much, limited to walking everywhere
- May, pain, pressure, tinnitus in my right ear, which is weird since I was born completely deaf in that ear (left ear is normal)
- Woke up with vertigo twice, 2 weeks apart
- Braved the bus and went back to see my doc, he gave me a presciption for betahistine, which I've been taking for the past 10 days.
- Bus ride home from that trip was bad, vision loss, almost passed out, haven't traveled since
- Since that ride, 10 days ago, the vertigo has been non stop, from everday to every 30 sec.,keep waiting for meds to work but they haven't yet.
- some double vision, eyes rolling

What do you think?

Most of the time I vomit after eating. Occasionally it's enough that I have to run to the bathroom, but usually it's just mouthful after mouthful, which I've just gotten used to swallowing back down again. It's food, not acid. It happens when I eat a lot, it happens when I eat very little, it happens everywhere in-between, sometimes it happens with drinks. This has been happening for about 10 years. I've had various tests, including a CT scan, multiple upper GI's, ultrasounds, bloodwork...everything comes back normal. In the past 4 years I've been having extremely painful upper right quadrant abdominal pain. It's been fairly consistent over the 4 years with a couple of 3-6 month breaks. The pain itself is always sharp and stabbing, though it comes and goes and varies in intesity from light to very severe. I was wondering if anyone else has had either of these problems and what was wrong, and if they might be related to each other, and possibly the gall bladder. Anyone know?

Today I was at the county fair. I bought an corn dog, which I quickly ate. I felt queasy, which was hastily perpetuated by the root-beer float i downed to try to calm my stomach.

I felt extremely nauseated, so I dashed into a men's bathroom and vomited. But it went horribly wrong.

I kept vomiting and vomiting an endless stream.

for 30 seconds straight. which led into a minute then five minutes, then thirty...

after a while it was an hour. my wife was wondering what was going on in there. i was continually vomiting without end. I had no choice but to run out onto the pavement, spewing a vomit trail behind me, as I yelled "HELP! EMERGENCY!" while still heaving the contents of my body. no one would come near me, not even the EMT's

after seven hours of straight vomiting, i finally collapsed. the entire fairground was knee-deep. they closed down the kiddie rides. it was horrible. people everywhere were slipping and falling in the greenish muck.

any ideas on what happened?

i have been bleeding, clotting and cramping for almost 4 weeks now and my lower stomach was swelling/hurting a bit (besides the cramping). my gyn told me to get a pelvic ultrasound and my general doctor told me to get an abdominal ultrasound done. my test came back with me having an enlarged kidney and thickened uterus (possible miscarriage). my general doctor is making me go in on monday for blood test BUT im still waiting for my gyn to call me about my results. in the meantime, can u tell me if they are related to one another? have you heard of this before?

p.s.
IF IF IF i was pregnant, i didnt know.

any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

I need some answers, please. I am constantly dehydrated all the time, I can BARELY taste any food or drink (meaning that the taste is "reduced") and throughout the entire day, every single day, my mouth is just so dry its unbelieavable. I drink so much cans of soda, each day, about 6-9 cans! It feels like I can NEVER get hydrdated! I try drinking water, but I get bad stomach aches from certain kinds of liquids and foods, and I hope this isnt some sort of worm feeding itself in my stomach. I can never seem to satisfy the huner or taste! I can actually bite off the skin in my mouth and it doesnt even hurt, maybe a slight pinch. I barely have any sensation on my tongue. Can anyone suggest some help? I told my doctor about it but he didnt seem to pay much attention about it while I was just there for anti-depression (Citalopram).

I have experienced this since I was a teenager, at least. It doesn't happen all the time, sometimes I can go several months to a year without noticing it at all.
But sometimes I feel like I can hear fluid coming down the back of my neck. I never told a doctor, and it doesn't really bother me, but it's strange. It sounds kind of like water going down a drain pipe.
I have some medical background, a degree in Health Information Administration and a year of nursing school, but I never heard anyone talk about anything like this.
Has anyone here in Yahoo Answers ever experienced that, or have you ever heard of it?

I am 13 years old and I'm currently in recovery from anorexia (with bulimic tendencies). I was just wondering if anyone else could share their experiences with me through this, it's getting really hard for me. It seems like my nutritionist has me eating so much, and I'm scared of the weight that I need to gain. Yesterday, she just added 500 MORE calories.. and i'm not even allowed to exersize.Anyway, if anyone can share their experiences or stories with me, it would be awesome. Anything is good, what it was like, how you dealt with it, how much you gained, did you get the weight back off, how you felt, how you feel now, etc. Anything! Thank you sooo incredibly much, anything is appreciated.

I'm on an anti-depressant called nortriptyline. It can cause heat-stroke if I become over-heated. I live in a hot environment, and I don't have a fan or air-conditioning. Am I at risk?

I just wanted to give a shout out to teens who might be thinking about abusing over the counter cough medicines. Especially tablets. PLEASE don't. There have been six deaths here in Wisconsin in the past several months, due to the overdosing of cough medicine, that comes in the form of red capsules. Please...Moms and Dads, go on the internet, tonight, and talk to your children about the dangers. Kids are trying to get an alchohol like "high", and they don't realize how many pills is too much, because of body weight. Talk to them, please!
I'm a nurse, you can Email me, if you have any questions. Thank you
