I just wanted to give a shout out to teens who might be thinking about abusing over the counter cough medicines. Especially tablets. PLEASE don't. There have been six deaths here in Wisconsin in the past several months, due to the overdosing of cough medicine, that comes in the form of red capsules. Please...Moms and Dads, go on the internet, tonight, and talk to your children about the dangers. Kids are trying to get an alchohol like "high", and they don't realize how many pills is too much, because of body weight. Talk to them, please!
I'm a nurse, you can Email me, if you have any questions. Thank you

That's why it has to be kept behind locked doors here in CA. I think you also have to be 18 to purchase it.

Really really sad. Thanks for trying to get the word out ☺

yes I've heard of this. Actually I;ve heard for quite sometime that illegal drug use is down but prescription and OTC drug use is up. Fortunately my brother has a Drill Sergeant NJROTC teacher and just the thought of what he might do doesn't even want to make the student even consider drug use.
I know in some states you have to show proof that you're over 18 and you're limited to only a few packages. Some are even kept locked in a glass case.

If you do use it, make sure the product has ONLY dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the active ingredient. Keep the dosage under 700mg or so (2 100ml bottles of robotussin maximum strength if I remember correctly). Most people would be more comfortable with a half bottle to a bottle.

Most of the deaths are from going against one of those two things.
