I just lost a loved one last week due to alcoholic hepatitis. Are you sure the LFT's are o.k.? She had red palms and was vomiting and extremely sleepy (among many other things). I've done so much research since then and the first signs of liver problems are those you describe. But red palms are also associated with poor circulation.

I also know that people can stop abusing alcohol but once the damage is done, don't live beyond a few years. I'm not trying to scare you but do hope you get a second opinion and have some tests re-done. If it does turn out to be liver disease or cirhosis, you can always have a transplant if need be. Or, if it's circulation or low blood sugar related, you can alter your diet and maybe get some exercise.

I do hope everything turns out alright. But please go for another opinion and ask for a second round of tests. Good luck - I wish you all the best.

Well fatigue and nausea are pretty nonspecific and could mean a hundred different things. Red palms are frequently associated with liver disease and portal hypertension. You say your LFTs are normal - when were those checked? And if that was recent, then what other tests have you had done, and what did your doctor think was going on? If you have a history of liver disease, then the first thing I would think of to explain your problems is liver disease (in the absence of any other information).

http://www.ylcf.org/hormone-imbalance/06.htm

two of your "symptoms are in Miriam Brazels's list fatigue arthritis ....

As preliminary do the on line hormone tests at www.hormoneprofile.com or www.johnleemd.com

If as I suspect they recommend you obtain hormones please have a saliva test done see www.npis.info or www.salivatest.com. A saliva test will check out active hormones something that blood tests do not.

http://www.abc2health.com/prog-saliva-not-blood.htm

As an “Oh by the way” The WHO (World Health Organisation) uses saliva tests.

Search the web for “natural progesterone fatigue” and you will find many pages read and carefully select.

I believe you'll find many women with the same story who are now better if you search for "natural progesterone"

There is a list of doctors at www.npis.info who are aware of the benefits of natural progesterone they may be more helpful than your GP. You are about to educate your GP :-)

Natural progesterone means natural to humans i.e. identical to that produced by the human body.

Any progesterone you buy must be natural progesterone USP. USP means United States Pharmacopoeia. Wild yam is that wild Yam the body will not convert it to progesterone

Do not take fake progesterone/progestins manufactured by the drug companies they will be of NO benefit.

If a hormone is suggested by the saliva test please take the dose suggested for you. Size 10 shoes are not twice as good if you have size 5 feet.

I am not a doctor but I am a recovering alcoholic and addict.
So I know things.
I suspect its your diet. Your blood sugar may be bottoming out. try eating slow burning carbs like pasta and see if that helps.
Pay attention to what you eat before the symptoms hit and tryig avoid those foods
