I work in a Welfare (Social Services/Financial Assistance). I used to draw Welfare and was advised of this work placement program by my case worker. My work placement was in the Welfare office! I enjoyed the 1 1/2 years that I was there and learnt so much from the staff. When my term was finished, I enrolled in college, got my diploma and I am now a case worker in the same office that I used to pick up my welfare cheques.

It just happened. I was either in the right place at the right time or wrong place at the wrong time - I'm not sure which? Depends on the day I guess.
Certainly didn't seek out this profession.
I studied electronics/computer science in college. Was hired as an engineer and somehow ended up as a purchasing manager for a startup company (you do all sorts of jobs in a startup, besides the one you were hired for) which eventually became Product Manager at a very large company.

I am a Phlebotomist. I love my job. I knew I wanted to do something in the medical field I just wasn't sure what... So I started looking into areas and decided I like that. I am thinking of going back to school for my RN. But I do love my job!

I got a job in a restaurant when I needed money to get me through school. When I got my degree, I realized that the restaurant had become my passion, so I stayed and became a manager.

I went to med school and became a doctor. I was good in biology in highschool.

I'm an insurance adjuster and I work from home, my father in law used to do it and referred me, now he quit, and i took over his job.
