My friend and his friend decided to give themselves "tattoos"
They poked themselves with a sharp point until they bled.
Then, they wrote over it with ink. (a blue ballpoint pen)

Now one of them has red spots on his arms and a headache.
Is he poisoned? What's going on? I'm worried...

Me and my boyfriend are each others first for everything. We've been together for 2 years. Yesterday he found this itty bitty red bump on the head of his penis and hes worried its syphillis. I know for a fact that i dont have that or any std. I don't have any sores nor have been with any other person. We don't have sex but i do give him oral sex. In a way i am a little offended, but i understand that he is worried. Hes going to get it checked out in a few days. I personally think its an irriation but he is really worried about it. What do you think it could be?

He also doesnt want oral sex anymore so we're just sticking to hand jobs.

Does anyone know what might cause muscle enzymes to be elevated?

For sometime (a couple of months), I have been feeling a discomfort on the left side of my upper abdomen. Sometimes, it also seems like my left ribs just by the diaphrahm protrude a little bit more than the right, just the section of ribs at the top of my left abdomen, and just with two ribs.

I have done tests on my spleen, abdomen, kidney, liver and heart and they are all normal. However, my muscle enzymes were slightly elevated. My doctor advised that I stop working out for a while (as this increases muscle enzymes) and test again, but they are still elevated. Does anyone know any other causes for elevated muscle enzymes?

They checked my thyroid, I have trouble breathing and swallowing, usually happens at night. One thing I noticed is my heart rate is really high - usually about 90/min. My blood pressure on the other hand is super low - when I was having a really tough time breathing it was 50/95...... The doctors never noted either of those things though. This started when I was about 4 months pregnant and happens 1-2xs/month (son is 18 months old now... ANY IDEAS/theories. They did a pressure test and when it was bad it was 200 when 400 is good or something and a few days later is was 360.... they did chest xrays and a further breathing test - test the pressure and then with a steroid and there was no change... Now i was referred to a ear, nose and throat doctor! ANY THEORIES?!?!?

I have been trying to lose weight for several months. Most days, I'm fine, but occasionally when I do really good on it, I get really shaky and weak, and I need salt to help me feel better. I feel so terrible that reaching for a bag of chips really helps, but then I've sabotaged my diet, even though I go for the fat-free kind. I can't stop eating them until I feel better. I'm also really tired all the time, and when I wake up from a nap, I almost unconsciously reach for any food I can find (usually unhealthy). I know I'm not diabetic because my mother-in-law tests my blood sugar weekly, and she says I'm too low to be a diabetic. My count is usually between 50 and 60. So, what is wrong with me? What can I do so that I don't feel terrible and sabotage my diet? I feel like I'm never going to lose weight this way.

Hi, a few days ago I bit my bottom lip on the inside when I was eating by accident. Now it is really swollen and hurts when I talk. I've tried applying bonjela and it still stings and hurts like hell.

What should I do? Will putting salty water on it help?

While out walking yesterday I suddenly felt giddy, sweaty and dying for something sweet to eat. As soon as I reached home I ate about three Kit Kat bars and soon after felt OK again.
I seem to remember this happening before, about a year ago and I thought nothing of it at the time but, asking around this time people tell me it is called 'hypoglycemia' which I thought only affected diabetics (which I know I'm not), so, could it be hypoglycemia or if not what else could it be. Incidently my normal diet is pretty high in sugar anyway.
Thanks in advance.

my son had diaherra for two weeks and after a blood test he was diagnosed with a higher that average, but still low Antineuclear Antibodies in his blood. He is still having some issues with diaherrea and lately his knees have been bothering him (they are inflamed) - should I be concerned?

I'm not sure of the formal name. its like when your colon gets exposed and comes out of your anus if you're anorexic...

+ Another question. What foods help digestion and avoid constipation?

And a more personal question, which is optional. Is it OK to only go to the bathroom for #2 every 3 days??

My daughter was just diagnosed with strep throat, and now there are several big bumps under her hair on the back of her head. She has not bumped her head at all, so I am wondering what might cause this? Could it be swollen lymph nodes from the infection? Are there even lymph nodes on the back of the head, or just in the neck? Please, someone let me know if this is a common thing or if I need to take her in to the doctor.

My son is a junior in college carrying a 3.92 GPA. He is in summer school living in a dorm and has had 3 seizures within a week. His roommate had called the paramedics and he has visited the ER on 3 separate occassions. The school is discussing whether or not to make him leave because he is a danger to himself and not fair to the other students. For the last 4 yrs this has been going on at home. He is under the care of a top notch neurologist and is on the best antiseizure Rx. If he has to leave school I don't want him home if he continues this behavior. I have had no peace for the last 4 years and am at wit's end. What do I do? Where can I send him? I don't have much money as he has run up a large medical debt. I wish he would just take his medicine but he hates the side effects.

I asked a question previously, this is like a follow up for it.

My partner's balance is off, when he walks it is like his balance is off and has to hold on to the wall.

He says his legs feel like jelly, like they are not his.

He has no other symptoms, no head trauma or pain to the hips or legs.

He had a doctor's appointment today and they referred him to the hospital.

Why is this?

He has no slurred speech, not pains anywhere on his body, nothing at all, its so strange.
