My daughter was just diagnosed with strep throat, and now there are several big bumps under her hair on the back of her head. She has not bumped her head at all, so I am wondering what might cause this? Could it be swollen lymph nodes from the infection? Are there even lymph nodes on the back of the head, or just in the neck? Please, someone let me know if this is a common thing or if I need to take her in to the doctor.

Took her to the doctor....sure enough they are lymph nodes! Hers are higher than most peoples, but thank heavens that is what it turned out to be!
