I say yes. Religious people like Bush are anti-science. This needless Iraq war has cost billions and medical research has had funds cut because of the war costs. Medical research has been hurt by right wingers like Bush. 1500 people die from cancer daily yet research has been delayed. Even stem cell research has been hurt by Bush. Galileo was persecuted because he proved that the world revolves around the sun and this was against religion. I will never vote for a evangelist for President because I don't want science hindered.

Superstition and leadership don't mix. I couldn't care less that , as Marx (Karl, not Groucho) said, "religion is the opiate of the people" in general- people love to be led. But when a leader, influential like Bush or a Reagan, use fantasy like the bible to make decisions its a very scary situation and yes it hurts science and reason. Its so sad that even intellectual leaders have to feign religiosity or else would never be elected. " God wants us to...............", is a spooky world eh?

Bush is not necessarily religious. He is a politician and we don't know what he really feels. Politicians only put on poses and express opinions that will get them votes. We don't know what he really feels, we may never. I have a suspicion that he doesn't feel much of anything about anybody.

Religious people are great for society. Jackasses like GWB that pretend to be religious are an insult to the human race.
