There are a lot of different factors that you have to take into account: type of anesthesia, dose, personal reactions. Everyone reacts differently, some people come out of it pretty quick others need a few hours.
For me, personally, my experience has been about 30-45 minutes...

It depends on the type of anesthesia used, the length of the procedure, and the person. Some people are more sensitive to it, some people pop right up.
Ask the person administering the anesthesia. He or she is there to care for you.

Why are you asking this question again? You feel like you do when you wake up from a real deep sleep and are groggy or foggy. How long it takes to get your bearings depends on what they gave you for anesthetic and how much they gave as well as how YOUR body reacts to the anesthetic.

It feels wonderful! It's like you're so relaxed, and you just had the best night's sleep of your life!! And it only takes a couple minutes to get your barrings. If it's coming up for you, enjoy it!! :)

been through it a few times, usually ya just feel a bit sleepy, maybe a bit sick but it doesn't take long to get over it in general. You will still feel a bit tired the rest of the day but nothing to worry about

For a major surgery for arterial bypass:
I came out of it at 2PM to where I could follow instructions, and be calmed down because of the breathing tube (I have bad gag reflex), aware of my surroundings about 4 hours later.
For wisdom tooth extraction, about 1 hour, but needed help to walk, don't remember the ride home.
