about 3 days ago i noticed a quarter sized lump right below my jawline. it hurts and it is getting hard to swallow. also i cant taste very much. does anyone know what this could be?

could be a swollen lymph node . If you been sick or have a sore throat if the lump is on the sides of your throat it could be that your tonsils are swollen. You don't want to fool around with it so please have it check , most likely something that will improve with antibiotics

May be sialoadenitis. Look it up on Google or Ask. If you don't drink enough liquids the salivary duct becomes sluggish or plugged up. Try a teaspoon of lemon juice or suck on lemon candy to stimulate salivary flow. Use heat to the area and drink plenty of liquids.

Go see a doctor and if it's something he will refer you to a plastic surgeon who can do something about it.My grandaughter had a lump in the throat as well when she was five and had to have surgery to remove it.Thankfully it was benign but it could have turned into something worse later on so please see your doctor about this...good luck

sounds like a swollen gland. you may be coming down with something. see the doc to make sure there's no infection.
