I was diagnosed with diviticulosis but the CT scan and ultra sound have shown it is not real bad. I have had this pain in my upper right side for quite awhile now and also about a year ago my feet just all the sudden swelled up (toes too). It went away after about a week but has come back three times now and about a couple months apart. I have had 2 dye CT scans, an ultrasound and blood work and they can't seem to find what's wrong. I do get burning in the stomach so I know the diviticulosis is causing some problems but pain shouldn't be up that far and swelling? Any ideas I would really appreciate!

I'm wondering if some of the bloodwork that was done was to check for arthritis and also enzymes related to the heart. Sometimes feet swelling can be an indicator of heart problems.

As for the right sided pain if it's up near the ribcage one possibility is that of a condition called costochondritis. This is a condition where the cartillage around the ribcage can become inflammed.

I would recommend a consultation with a podiatrist (dr that treats diseases and disorders of the feet) for your feet if you haven't already to see if they can help you figure out what is causing your feet and toes to swell.
