YES. And it's called Bulemia. I am suffering over 25 years. It's started once a week, then 3-4 times (maybe more) a day. It's not normal. She needs help, and don't wait until it's too late. ( well, there's never too late, just consider that I've lost some teeth on it.) good luck.

You don't have to throw up everyday to be bulimic. Most bulimics start out binging and purging only occasionally, and only do it everyday when it gets really bad. Now is the best time to get her help. As a cousin you may not be able to do much, but you should really tell her parents.

By the way, it is never normal to throw up unless someone is sick, pregnant, or taking some medications.

There is certainly reason to have concern for this cousin. She may think that she has everything under control, but in reality if she is even doing this once (making herself throw up to control her weight or loss of) She is on her way to having major probs. If I were you, I would go to your mom, or cousins mom let them know what is going on, you may be the only one that knows right now ...there is no use trying to talk cousin out of this habit...she may look like she is understanding and willing to go "staight" be we all know that is a cover up.

actually that is called Bulemia, not anorexia, and frequency has nothing to do with it. It is not normal to intentionally vomit, heck, it isn't normal to vomit at all, the stomach only does it when there is something dangerous in it, unless you force it to by triggering the gag reflex repeatedly. Your friend does have an eating disorder, and rationalizing that she only does it occasionally does not make it any less a disorder.

I'd say yes, because she still throws up her food on purpose. But I don't know, ask a doctor.

yes..it's a disorder because it's not normal even once in a while(unless you eat something bad) why does she think she has to do it?

Sure.... once in a while... SURE. If she throws up her food AT ALL it's bad.
