About 4 days ago, I started getting pains in my stomach after I would eat. It felt like gas pains. On the 4th day, I went to a restaurant & ate salad and a bowl of minestrone soup for lunch. I felt some pain after that. Then I ordered Tai food (garlic shrimp) for dinner. The pain started again and became more severe throughout the night. The pain was constant & it kept me up half the night. I woke up to go to work and I couldn't get myself together because the pain was severe and I also became nauseus. I tried to vomit and nothing would come up, only a little saliva. I tried pepto bismol and I just vomited that up. Throughout the day I kept running to the bathroom to vomit. My stomach lining feels very bloated and painful to the touch. It's the second day and the constant pain subsided, but I still have the bloated soreness in my stomach. I'm able to eat, but this pain is annoying. I never had diarrhea or anything. Does anyone know what this could be?

You could have gastrointestinal problems, it is not food poisioning, because with that you will vomit and have constant diarrhea constantly. I know, I had it and you wouldn't know where it was coming from next. You need to get to your dr. and write down everything you wrote here, I also have 3 stomach problems and I can tell your insides are either inflamed or you have an infection somewhere in your stomach lining. Good Luck

Depending on when you got your pain would be your answer because of you had a stomach virus, it might come from you biting your nails perhaps. Food poisoning can happen if you ate something from a can that might be dented or something like that. I would go to a doctor and have him check you out. I am sure it is nothing serious.

Unfortunately there are several possible causes. Ulcers cause pain, nausea and bloating. Obstructed bowels also. Stomach flu is normally in reality, food poisoning. I won't go into the really ugly possibles as they'd just scare you without real cause. If symptoms continue or worsen, see a doc. Or if you just need peace of mind.

Prolly stomache virus. Not nessecarily the flu but another virus. Just make sure you drink lots of fluid and get some rest.
