Go see your Doctor! I suffer from both also. Had many a sleepless night. You need to be checked out to make sure your Thyroid is working correctly. A great book to read on the subject is called "Don't Panic". Some antidepressants help with these matters as well as other meds like xanax.. It's what my Dr. prescribed for me. The most important thing is to learn go through the attacks, all on your own, this may take practice. good luck!

Doc was being kind to you You must give up caffeine which comes in coffee and soda in bigger amounts than green tea. The tea will be a better replacement. Don't watch TV or do anything really stimulating before you go to sleep. Panic attacks happen often to young people. Most outgrow them as they reach their thirties. I would study biofeedback, mediation courses and hypnotherapy for relaxation. Learn self hypnosis and you will be truly empowered. At any given time you will learn to relax and eventually the brain will get rewired to keep you there. Exercise in the morning or afternoon but not in the evening when you are looking to retire for a good night of sleep.

It would be a -really- good idea to go see your physician to see if there's any underlying neurological problem first.

Try and think rationally - why are you having panic attacks? What's got you stressed out? Talk it over with your parents/friends/shrink if you need to.

You have my sympathy, they are a real bummer. As far as self help websites I've always liked this one http://www.panicend.com/
If for no other reason then I liked to read it during an attack to reassure myself that I'm not dying or going crazy.
