It is a very rare disease and it's hard to find information out there about it. I was wondering if anyone has heard of it, or experienced it or know someone who has.

I've noticed ppl ask specific advice for medical issues when they haven't consulted a doctor. I find this peculiar. I'm not talking about what to do for symptoms. Sometimes, ppl seem to want a diagnosis. Would you take this advice knowing that ppl may not be educated enough to answer? Why?

I believe that this is a genetic desease when a nine years old could look like a 60-years old. Most people who suffer from this desease die at a very young age. I couldn't remember what it's called. But I think it starts with the letter 'P'. Any idea?

I've been taking Mobic for arthritis that developed in my ankle after I broke it a couple years ago. I started it 6 months ago, and I've had the flu 2 times this winter and a few stomach viruses and sinus infections. Could the med have lowered my resistance because I hardly ever got sick b4 9maybe once ayear if that often)?

This is a serious question!

Ever since I was Iike 8 or 9, when I look up at the sky and I can see these "worm shaped" figures that start up at the top, and the gradually fall down. They are VERY annoying. I don't think they are floaters because they are not colored. I am thirteen by the way. Can I get rid of them without a eye doctor? My dad refuses to bring me to one. I also need glasses, but he won't bring me. How can I convince him?!

The problem is, I started sulpha drugs on Thursday but by Friday was worse (high fever, chills, shaking). I thought I just needed to give the meds more time. I didn't get back to the dr. until Monday when we started Cipro... i'm wondering if those 3 days without the right medicine might have caused some serious damage. From what I read online now, I should have gone to the ER over the weekend.

I have a very weak bladder - when i need to go, ineed to go!! I dont feel it before hand and have literally 2 minutes to get to a loo.
I dont drink alot, just the recommended 8 glasses of water a day, but I am slighlty overweight.
Does the weight effect it, and how can I make it better? Its frustrating having to think constantly where the nearest loo is!!!
