one of the most important things to know about fibromyalgia is that there are 'tender points.' these tender points are like mirror images...............if you hurt on one side of the body, it's the same, at the same time, on the other side of the body. it affects the tendons that attach the smooth muscle to the bone, so, sometimes people think they have joint problems, or arthritis. it's really important to get your sleep. because you don't get the important restive stage of sleep, that is why you hurt. it won't kill you. the more you move, the better you feel. it comes with changes in the weather for me. and i have found that after ten mattresses, i have finally found one that i am comfy on at night and don't hurt. you get really stiff. it can affect any of the smooth muscle tissue in your body, so you can have heart palpitations, and ibs. if you go to mayo clinic, they have lots of good information.

Not sure what your looking for but here goes.
Fibromyalgia is a non-curable disease. They don't know the real cause of it. Could be heredity, trauma, injury etc. There is no one test to diagnose it. There are different factors they look for. The main one is the trigger points on your back. I was diagnosed 15 years ago. The symptoms mirrow lupas, chronic fatigue syndrome. They rule out these and others to determine if you have fibro. There's no one test for fibro.
The best way to help fibro is your sleep. A person with fibro can't get to the 4th level of sleep, which is the healing stage. So if a doctor can get you on something to get you to that stage it helps with the pain. You can go in and out of remission. Stress can cause it.
Fibro suffers deal with pain 24/7. fibro fog, forgetfulness, leg cramps, aching, depression, tiredness etc.
It's a very frustrating disease because there's no outward signs for your family and friends to see. That's why they don't understand what you're going through.
The best thing to do is try to teach them what your going through.
I hope this info helps.

if God forbid it is, you can treat it by sticking to a strict PROTEIN ONLY diet for 1 month & you'll notice a difference. I know this from a very reliable source & it'll really help.
I don't knoew excatly what you have to eat but protein only doesn't mean you have to lots of red meat & steak, you can get protein from other sources also such as tofu & soya & chiken etc. But I think you have to avoid all carbs & also fruits & veggies.
But consult the web or a book of what protein only diet consists of.hope this helps!
