I have a very weak bladder - when i need to go, ineed to go!! I dont feel it before hand and have literally 2 minutes to get to a loo.
I dont drink alot, just the recommended 8 glasses of water a day, but I am slighlty overweight.
Does the weight effect it, and how can I make it better? Its frustrating having to think constantly where the nearest loo is!!!

Poor you
you are not alone in this , it is a common problem.in women .

Weight loss may help ( but ,they all say that !!!!!)
Skinny people get the same problem !

Go to your Doctor or Practise Nurse;

There are pelvic floor exercises ,that you can do,
which can help with this problem .

or the Doctor may suggest,
an operation, to tighten the muscles,
supporting the bladder .

You are right > NOT to restrict your fluid intake<
To do so, could lead to other more serious problems

don't suffer in silence.
make an appointment with your Doctor soon

All the best

avoid drinks like tea coffee they are deiuratic and make you pass water. overweight and sitting down will put pressure on your bladder ,so will tight fitting belts on your trousers ,avoid this.the bladder sends signals to the brain when about half full.
A good way to strengten the bladder is when you urinate ,release then squeeze the bell so that you cannot pass nomore then release,do this about six times during urination.
Also remember that passing urine is a natural function and the average is 8 a day so 12 is also normal , an it shows the parts are workin dont it

You may have a smaller than average bladder, or your pelvic floor may be weak - I think you should see a doctor if its not just due to drinking too much. Water does tend to pass through quickly. If you are drinking sparkling mineral water, I would suggest you change to still - or preferably filtered tap water rather than bottled which sometimes contains bacteria as it isn't fresh.

This is a common problem amongst women young and old, and aparently 1/4th of the female population suffers with it sometime in our lives.

You really need to go and see your GP,

Have a look at the link I have given you:

Most people fing the problem of drinking 8 glasses of water is that dont count the other things they drink, ie a glass of juice is counted also tea and coffee, milk. it all adds up. . I think you are probably just drinking too much..

That's probably one for the medical experts.
Sure is a lot of water.
Not surprised that you are piddling a lot.
Then again, I am not an expert.
Best of luck with it anyway.
