My friend has been an insomniac for as long as I've known him. He will not sleep for days at a time and then be forced to take perscribed sleeping pills which knock him out. Then he ends up being all groggy. Can you guys suggest any remedies for insomnia? btw sorry for the lack of info.

I pan-fried some hamburgers to eat, and I took 'em off when I thought that they were cooked. But they weren't. Half way through a hamburger (Half-way) I discovered that the meat was only half cooked, even though it had previosuly tasted delicious. What are the chances of me being infected with salmonella and/or e. coli. and if the chances are high, how long would it take for the sickness to "kick in"? Please, no silly answers, estimates or guesses, this is serious business.

Basically, I went out to eat on Saturday night and I had some meat dish(chilli con carne) and I feel abit sick since... first it was nothing big but now I have a headache and feel like sick... not thrown up or anything though. Do you think it it could of been because of this? Or do you think it is something else?

First, I am 25 years old and a very athletic guy. I work out about 5 days a week & am very active...never had any medical conditions or anything like that.

For about the past couple months I have been experiencing symptoms of post nasal drip. Trust me, it's horrible! I have been taking zyrtec and it seems to help somewhat. Any other suggestions on what to take for that?

For the past couple weeks, I have been experiencing shortness of breath. It hurts for me to take a deep breath and is really uncomfortable and I am feeling light headed at times. Right now the pollen in the air is really bad. Is this a result of the pollen in the air, post nasal drip, or something else?? I am not depressed, so I don't know if it would be anxiety. Also, I have no other symptoms of allergies(runny nose, itchy throat/eyes, etc...). Any suggestions on what's going on or any medicine to help would be greatly appreciated!!

I have a sharp pain on the right side of my throat, more where the tougue ends and throat begins. I did feel some small bumps back there but it feels sharp like it could cut me or if a needle were there.

What could be causing this? I have no other cold symptoms so far.

My Blood pressure is usually on the high side 135/95. i am on no meds for it. On the way to work, i got so dizzy i thought I was going to black out. My boss had to help me from the car, and my bp was 80/50 ( both arms and rechecked an hour later @ 70/40) I'm nauseated and she said my heartrate was very irregular but it was 62, pulse ox of 99. My left side felt "itchy" and my chest "ached". Im 38 y/o female. I'm an EMT but i have no ideas. no diabetes and glucose level was fine.
