Hi, I'm 17 and I may have a blockage because i can't produce a bowel movement without fleet enema.(and it still won't come out completly).I know it's a blockage because I tried(suppositories,prunes,ban... ,lots of water, hot drinks fibers, laxitaves & more)It is uncomfortable and it hurts my rectum.
I don't have an appoinment to get it checked out till 3 weeks.
What can I do to get rid of the blockage? Is there a pacific medicine? Please help!
Please don't say go to E.R.

Hi Chris,

Since you say you've tried the various options to relieve the obstruction, not much more you can [safely] do. Stop eating for a while, give your digestive system a chance to rest. If you have an appointment to have it checked, do you mean this is not the first time this has happened?

If it gets worse, I'm afraid you will have to go to the ER. I say this b/c complete bowel obstructions can 'burst', or cut off blood/oxygen to other parts of the bowel, which can be fatal. If you have pain/cramping/vomiting(dark, foul-smelling) go to the ER.

Not to worry you (I gave an extreme example), just want to make it clear that if in fact this is an obstruction, it needs to be dealt with soon, not in 3 weeks! So if you get worse, go to the ER. In the meantime, try to rest your digestive system by cutting solid food for a while, and taking sips of water.
