I want to get tested for hepititis b. Can I go to the red cross and donate blood? Will they tell me if it comes out positive or will they not tell me?

Please do not donate blood but simply ask the Red Cross to test you for hep B. Also your local county health dept. should be willing to test you since Hep B is a communicable disease and this would fall under jurisdiction of the local health dept.

They don't usually tell you what's wrong with the blood they take; they send a letter saying your blood wasn't useable. I suggest you go to either a community clinic, a free clinic, or a county hospital to be tested.
