This is a serious question!

Ever since I was Iike 8 or 9, when I look up at the sky and I can see these "worm shaped" figures that start up at the top, and the gradually fall down. They are VERY annoying. I don't think they are floaters because they are not colored. I am thirteen by the way. Can I get rid of them without a eye doctor? My dad refuses to bring me to one. I also need glasses, but he won't bring me. How can I convince him?!

Yeah, he also won't take me to the doctors or the dentist..

he thinks that they are not needed. But if HE wants glasses (which he has!) then he goes whenever he wants.

Those are bubbles in the fluid covering your eyeballs.
You may have a couple of microscopic scratches on your cornia from rubbing your eyes too.

Floaters do not always have colors...

See your school nurse about going to an eye doctor.

What is wrong with your old man?
If you need glasses and he refuses to let you get them, that is child abuse.

Those are basically floaters.........I have had the same thing for years..........not much you can do to get rid of them, but you really need to see an eye doctor. I can't believe your dad won't take you to see an eye doctor......that is crazy!! Not sure how you can convince him, but you might want to research a free clinic and see if they would help you without your father's consent.

Tell the school nurse about these problems and that your dad won't take you for glasses or to get your eyes checked out. This lack of care should be reported to Child Welfare. Maybe the school nurse will know of free solutions. If I were there I'd give your dad a spanking. Take care sweetie.

Floaters generally do not have colors. I see mine alot when looking at something white, and they usually float down and then they are up at the top again.
There are many technical terms I could give you to tell you what they could be, but you really should be seen by a doctor.
I ditto talking to the school nurse or your regular doctor.

You need an eye exam every 2-3 years if you don't wear glasses and yearly if you wear glasses. Since you are having eye problems and your dad refuses to get your eyes examined go talk to your school nurse and have her call your dad and request that he take your for an eye exam. This is part of her job so go talk to her tomorrow.

Floaters aren't colored. They ARE floaters, and I think they are permanent. Just get used to them.

As for getting glasses: Complain about headaches and not being able to read. That'll encourage him to let you get an eye exam. Can you also get a simplified eye exam from your school nurse?
