I was being checked for MS (due to "abnormality" on optic nerve and "multiple spots" on the left parietal lobe found during an MRI). My neuro ordered an LP. Not only did it come back with no o-bands, but my IgG levels were "slightly below normal"--and in potential MS cases, they're generally elevated? My follow up with my neuro isn't for another month, so I wondered--does this rule out MS? Does it point to anything else?

there is a gland or vave in us that is related to our liver which will rupture do to heavy drinking. i few people i know have died from this and it is where you just bleed and surgery really can't help.i have a friend that is drinking like a death row inmate constantly and won't stop. i would like to explain this to him but do not know the name of it. a friend last year died because this valve ruptered while she was on the phone with her sister and by time someone got to her which took 10 minutes she was alredy lost alot of blood

Been diagnosed with full kidney failure, but I still produce urine. The doctor said we are calling it full even though you still have 20% left of your kidneys. Doesn't make much sense to me

I have GERDS sometimes the Nexium works sometimes it doesn't no matter what I eat, have been on Proton Pump Inhibitors 2 yrs and now can't get off them, have talked with others who have the same problem, about one day is all I can go without taking the medicine and the chest pains and burping, heartburn reoccur ( have the chest pains several times a week regardless, the Dr says it's esophageal spasms) . Proton Pump Inhibitors are ment for short term use any one else have this problem? Are we headed for increased risk for gastric cancer?

I went to urgent care on Saturday to find out I have bronchitis and they started me on Levaquin. They also sent away a strep culture on me. I always thought that you weren't contagious anymore after 24 hours on antibiotics, but am now hearing conflicting statements. Does anyone know the truth? Thanks!

I have a cyst on my ear lobe which has becomed really swollen and infected. It is causing a great deal of pain. I'm currently in-between insurance. In my city the bill to see a Dr. without insurance4 is arround 150-200 dollars. I live on a shoestring budget and that's alot of money to me. I reside in Milwaukee and would appreciate sound advise on my options. I do have a child but the insurance is only under the mother. So that option is not available to me either. Free clinics in my area don't service this type of injury. I would wait 1-2 hrs to see a Dr and only be told they dont' treat that. Other than those I don't know where to go.

I have been tested for hyperthyroidism and taken time of work as the doctor diagnosed me with work related stress. I also am constantly feeling tired and am very forgetful and absent. I have tried yoga, jogging and have just started dance classes. None of which seem to help a great deal. I was advised to take St Johns wart herbal tablets which help the stress symptoms slightly.
