i saw a program last night about a health farm and they stated that many worms are present at all times in the human tract. You could also see the alleged worms that looked like seaweed after a garlick enema. Question is is this true? Yuk!

I've just read an article in a women's magazine that talks about how 1/3 of Americans may have parasites! Then it went on to list some herbal remedies. But I was wondering, what does conventional medicine think about this? How do doctors detect parasites? And how do they treat them? How do conventional remedies compare with the herbal ones as far as effectiveness goes?

confirmed as correcting my levels correctly. I will be on them for life. No Problem.

Other than that my Doc told me nothing. My energy levels are up and I feel awake for the first time in 2 years! But...

Is there anything I need to know about this condition? Anything I should be aware of or look out for?

Thanks for your help!

to take instead?
I have to go hospital every six months for an infusion of venofer (iron), one a week for six weeks.
The staff are so slow it adds to my distress, the infusion only takes 20 mins, but I'm there 4-6 hours and I can't bear to go through it again.
I also suffer from MSC and most of the nurses and other patients wear chemical fragrances, so it's a nightmare for me, plus the Hospital is too warm and stuffy!
Surely I could get my iron levels up some other way? I eats loads of vegetables, sprouts cabbage etc, apricots, liver.... My colitis is hardly ever in remission and I'm always either severely constipated or I have bad diarrhea, so I can't take Ferrous Sulphate because that makes me even more constipated.
I'm on 3 senna and 3 docusate daily, while these make me open my bowels every other day, they cause me severe tummy ache. I'm SO sick of being sick!
I also take 3 Azathioprine, 30mg Lansoprazol, Codliver Oil & Primrose Oil.
Would it be safe for me to take Folic Acid?

sorry i just have one more question to ask.... anyway a while back i did some exercise called jelqing about 2 years ago... 1 night i did it my penis went immediatly limp... for months i was freaked out thinking i had broken my penis my erections were not fully hard and i could not hold them... anyway i got stress out of my life and i got better with erections.... about 2 months ago i went to see a uriologist to be told i did nothing internally wrong and it was all mental... but now my question is this... why when my penis is limp does it shrink up? like when you get into cold water.. you know how it shrinks up? thats what happens with my penis when limp... when i hop into the shower its stuck like that..its usually like that throughout the whole day... is it really all mental? or is something wrong? the uriologist said it was all in my head... but i dont know if this is true.... could it really be all mental? but why does it always happen?

I had my thyroid removed last April 2006. It hasn't been followed to closely. My doctor increased my dose of Thyroid but felt it would need to go up more. I have a blood test tomorrow again. I'm having a lot different symptoms right now but no health insurance so I haven't been to the doctor. I'm more tired than I think I should be, It feels like something pushing up into my chest but that happens randomly and it makes me cough sometimes when it does happen, it comes with a little bit of pressure in my chest, I have pain in my right side that hurts all the way through to my back(randomly), my skin is dry, constipation, circles under my eyes. That's just to name a few. Has anyone had issues like these after having thyroid surgery. I realize it might not be related to that but I have this feeling it is. Naturally I wish I had health insurance and could see a good doctor. Hopefully a good job will come and give me my insurance back. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Over the last two years I have been experiencing growing chronic dizziness, fatique, blurry, sometimes double vision and some disorientation. It went from being a mild nuisance to making basic life (driving, reading, drawing, concentrating, etc.) very difficult. It's extremely hard to focus due to the constant feeling, and I have no energy. I also have tried excercising, I've blacked out several times using a treadmill only walking for less than fifteen minutes. Also very brief blacking out of vision when standing or moving suddenly. I've never been diagnosed with anything ever except for Raynaud's (poor circulation in extremities) I've also checked for anemia. It almost feels like when you hold you breath for too long.

Any doctors/medical types have any thoughts?

I don't know if this is a medical or a martial arts question, but I am interested in knowing. Or if there is a medical condition that would cause the person being hit not to feel the pain in this area.
