My diabetic father, who passed away two days ago was suffering from stroke. Recently he was having fits and ended up with his left leg and arm fully paralized, not able to talk and hallucinating. While in hospital, seeing that he was deteriorating by the minute, seeing no response and his sugar level going up even though they gave him insulin, I begged the doctor to remove the plug and not let him suffer any more. 15 minutes later he passed away. Do you think I did right?

I had surgery about 6 days ago and while I was recovering I was given an antinauseant drug. About 5 minutes after the drip was running, the site was burning like a bee sting. The nurse elevated my hand but the pain was still there. I had to endure this through 2 bags of this drip. The IV line was running well prior to administering this drug. Now my hand is exertemely painful and my hand is bruised and swollen. It hurts more than the thoracotomy that I had it that says anything! My other IV sites are fine. Can anyone help, will this go away or should I see a doctor?

I had my 20 week ultraound done last week and they said that my baby is very small, and they are concerned, but they don't think that my due date should be pushed back. I have marginal placenta previa, and the baby's leg bones were abnormally short. Doctor said that I will be getting an ultrasound done every month to check on the placenta previa, and that they would re-measure the legs next month at the U/S. This will be my third child. Other two are perfectly normal, 7lbs 8oz, 10 on the Apgar Score at birth, and second child was 8lbs 12oz, 9 on the apgar score at birth. There is no history of anything other than bi-polar and anxiety on my husband side, no history of any physical deformities at all. Worried! Does anyone know what this could be? Could it be a type of dwarfism?

I want to know why, it's just really interesting. I never had a sore throat in a while though.. In a long while.. But when I do get a sore throat, salt water helps alot, it goes away better than any medicine i've ever tried. Why's that?

My son feels like his illness is physical and the doctors are missing something. They have run a few tests but I know they think it's in his head. He will work for a few weeks and then he's so tired he can't get out of bed. He doesn't sleep well and he says when he sleeps he feels more tired when he gets up and the longer he's up the better he feels -- at about the 8 hour mark he starts to get a little energy. We're considering mao clinic but we want to exhaust our possibilities locally before we invest more money.
