Is the thumbside of your 4th digit numb? can you fan (spread and unspread or abduct and adduct) your fingers on the hurt hand as easily as the other? it may be a form of cubital tunnel syndrome, when the ulnar nerve gets compressed (similar to carpal TS but the medial 1.5 fingers instead of lateral 3.5) by dead tissue or swelling. If you hit your elbow recently, the lump may be pressing on your ulnar nerve which is situated in the groove on the chest side of your elbow (funny bone pain is the ulnar nerve getting a quick compression in that spot). And if the lump is painful to touch, it may be an infection of some sort, which could be swelling against your nerve. If this has been going on for a while and it is the ulnar nerve, you will begin losing muscle tone in the pinkie side of your hand and will be sweating less or none at all compared to the other side. I'm just a 1st year medical student so dont listen to me, but I would get a pad or something soft to place over your elbow to keep you from bumping it for a few days to see any changes. but nothing tight because you have to have good blood flow for it to heal. if you go to the doctor, surgery in that area is dangerous due to many nerves and vessels in and around the elbow, so request something else if its available. if you go to someone that knows what they are doing, they will probably test the feeling in your palm by poking it with different thicknesses of "fishing line" and test the strength in your fingers...good luck

The lump (if it is on the pinkie side of your elbow) could be compressing your ulnar nerve (which is responsible for sensation to your little finger and half of your ring finger). See an orthopedist (or a primary doc).

sounds like a pinched nerve. did you bump your elbow on something? i have bumped my elbow before and i got a small lump that was painful to the touch. I'm not a Dr. so don't go by me. i would definitely go to the Dr. and get it checked out. to be on the safe side. good luck.

Sounds like you might have a cyst pressing on the nerve leading to those fingers. Go to the doc, don't let us diagnose you.

Yes. Not to be flippant or rude - honestly. But dear, go to a doctor.
