Stool gets its color from waste products and bile. Bile is green. Any shade of yellow, green, or brown is an acceptable color for stool. Therefore, you don't have to be concerned that your stool is green.
The colors of stool that would be worrisome are:
Clay gray or white - meaning no bile is getting into the stool because of bile duct obstruction.
Red - indicating a significant amount of blood in the stool.
Jet Black (not just very dark) - which results from bleeding in the upper intestinal tract.
I have had this happen to me after a couple of days of just vegetables and lettuce / spinach.

If you have the occasional green stool—don't panic! Most likely it is normal, and there is a perfectly reasonable explanation. Think about the foods you ate, any vitamins or supplements you took—even if they're not green in color.
There can be many reasons why stool appears to be green. The first and most obvious reason is eating green foods. Green, leafy vegetables contain chlorophyll which could be coloring the stool green. Foods with dark purple coloring like Kool-Aid, popsicles, and gelatin (Jell-O) can also result in rainbow-colored stools. Iron supplements or even foods that are rich in iron can also give stool a green tinge. If you are still concerned about this issue consult your physician. good luck

it may be an hypersensitive reaction, even with the undeniable fact that it may additionally be from getting too plenty foremilk...attempt nursing from basically one ingredient in keeping with feeding to ensure your toddler is getting the hindmilk. Her poop could be runny. **Hindmilk is what comes first once you nurse your toddler...it is thinner and extreme in lactose. Foremilk comes later, it is fattier and includes most of the food. too plenty foremilk could make your toddler gassy, fussy, and supply her green poop. ***It does not sound like an infection. My son used to do an identical element...maximum have been yellow and then there may be a pair in a row that have been green. i got here upon that if I saved him on the 1st breast for slightly longer, it did not ensue. Your toddler is nice...merely attempt keeping him on the 1st breast longer.

When your poop is green that means that you haven't eaten anything that has protein. Like meat and eggs.

I wouldn't worry, have you had any green skittles or green fruit roll ups, that will do it. If theres red blood then you might want to go see someone.
