confirmed as correcting my levels correctly. I will be on them for life. No Problem.

Other than that my Doc told me nothing. My energy levels are up and I feel awake for the first time in 2 years! But...

Is there anything I need to know about this condition? Anything I should be aware of or look out for?

Thanks for your help!

I have had an under active thyroid for the last 4 years. Once your med is at the right level you should be fine, back to normal. Almost all of my eyebrows fell out before I was diagnosed but they`re a lot better now (I `ve got some back again!) A colleague of mine now retired was an undiagnosed sufferer and she was also diagnosed with angina at the same time, they may have been be connected but not definitely. You shouldn`t have any problems, consider yourself as healthy as the next bloke! Remember to go for your regular blood checks though.

I have this condition also...the only thing I would warn you about is that just when your levels get right, a few months later, for what seems like no reason you can suddenly start feeling tired again, and gain weight...its because our bodies often fluctuate these levels. Obviously the fact that you are aware that you have this condition means that your Doctor will be monitoring it so thats a plus. Also as I have no idea of you age, or family life...id just say if you dont have any children yet but want them, its harder to get pregnant unless your levels are spot on, and also if you do get pregnant it has to be monitored even more closely than usual to avoid risk of miscarriage etc! My deficency is quite bad but only started off minimal (needing only 50mg daily) so i hope your remains controlled. goodluck!!

I have hypothyoidism .With the pills I feel much better.I was undiagnosed for a long time and it took months before I felt well again.Make sure you have your thyroid levels checked periodically.I have had to have my dosage raised twice in the last 12years.Use your search engine for thyroid sites.THere are loads and very helpful they are.
