Did you get your travel vaccinations before you left?? You certainly can get infectious diseases from Central America. How long since you have been back? You need to go to a doctor to be checked out. It would be great if you could see one with travel experience. There were on average 5-6 immunizations we gave for travel to Central America plus malaria prevention. You could have also picked up a parasite, another wonderful souvenir abundant in that area. Please see a doctor, make a list of all your symptoms and when they began, where you were exactly, any native foods you ate, what you drank and any bodies of water you were in down there. This will help your doctor. Hope you feel better soon! Take care!

No, there is no blood test that will reveal all the infectious diseases that you could possibly have encountered while in Central America. A CBC (complete blood count) would be a good start, because it can indicate whether or not an infection is there and whether it is viral, bacterial, or parasitical. It can't, however, solely indicate the specific virus, bacteria, or parasite. Your best bet is to go the doctor, let him/her know what countries you travelled to, and what your symptoms are specifically. Your physician can assess your symptoms and determine whether or not there's a chance you might have encountered a pathogen. He/She can order tests accordingly.

No test can show all infections. A blood CBC can help to differentiate between a bacterial and viral infection. If you state your signs and symptoms, it will help in making a diagnosis.

If they were not correct labs might be close down through many inspection companies. Sorry dude, there are soooo many controls to be certain the whole thing is correct it isn't even humorous. So my reply is sure they're ninety nine.nine% correct and if it isn't correct it is since of infrequent human errors, now not the checking out apparatus.
