I have ulcers, and have had them as long as I can remember,
it starts out as a stomach ache that just will not go away, when I was about ten years old, then when I was in my teens it was a burning stomach ache, in my twenties it was an unbearable burning from my stomach all the way down to my lower belly, in my thirties this was accompanied with vomit that looked yellow, with black specks and threads of blood, that's when I had gallbladder surgery, no gallstones were found.
I have been on every kind of ulcer medication that is or has been made, the only thing that ever helped was vicodin but they wont let me have that anymore

the way you can get an ulcer is from stress related conditions... more acid builds up and the more likely hood to wretch havoc with in the stomach, intestines and esophagus...
acid reflux... heartburn... are those that are sometimes the first sign... however do not go untreated... I've seen people die because they refused to go to the doctor for a simple pain that ended up perforating the stomach wall causing more damage... So if you think you have one, go get it treated!
