My husband had endoscopic surgery in May '06. He had a deviated septum that was corrected. He has had CAT scans and MRI's and they come up clear. He STILL is have intense pain in his frontal left cavity. He's had constant sinus infections, and any congestion seems to trigger head pain. We've read about procedure that uses external drains, but looks 'major'!!! (tubes hanging out of his forehead!) We're just not sure what to do. One of his doctors (there's 4 in the office) said that the pain is 'in his head' and he need to learn to relax. This is SO not the case! When he has a 'major' pain attack, the left cavity is actually swollen and can be seen when looking at his profile (face). Just want to know if anyone else has had this.

Yesterday, my lab work came back and my liver function is not good so my doctor has halfed my methotrexate dosage and I've been told no tylenol over 1000 mg every eight hours. Is there anything else I can do to enhance my liver function? Of course, I'll call my doctor on Monday, but I wondered if anyone might be able to help me. Thanks!

If so, did you find anything that helped? I'm finding that I'm having blackouts. Its very disturbing. I'm also finding I'm having trouble concentrating. I don't want to go off the meds because its the only thing that helps with my migranes.

I see it daily: Requests for medical diagnosis from people who should be going to, dare I say it, a doctor.

Example: "I'm bleeding out both eyeballs, I've missed three periods, my tongue is sloughing off little green flecks, my poop is shaped like cubes, I have had a nonstop migraine since Bill Clinton's second inaugural and my eyehockey is a disturbing shade of magenta. What could be wrong?"

If the requests for medical advice were banned, what do you think the total percentage cut would be?

For about a month or two or now, my eating habits have erratically changed. Vegetables and meats stopped appealing to me, and whenever I ate them, they just didn't taste right. Homemade, McDonalds, resturant... didn't matter. Just didn't taste right or feel right.

At the same time, I found myself significantly hungrier. I found myself going from eating, perhaps, for a pizza dinner, only half a slice and 2 garlic nauts(sp?) to eating 2 or 3 slices and 5 or 6 garlic nauts(sp?).

Likewise, when I used to eat about two or three meals a day, I'm now eating 6 meals or so... not including snacks.

At first I thought it was pregnancy, but, I'm on birth control pills, and take them at the same time every night, haven't missed them. My BCP's are Loestrin 24 Fe. However, last night, I woke up from my sleep precisely every 45 minutes. I also know that around December I get depressed due to the fact it's my mother's death anniversary. But I've never been THIS moody.

What's wrong with me?

Have you noticed how many ill people there are on this site. Its only after they have been on here for some time that they come out and tell us of their illnesses problems or worries. I am so glad that they have this outlet so they can discuss their problems openly and without fear.

Hi Guys, Could you all do me a little favour? as the bells ring in 2007, would you please pray for me and my wife and 2 kids. I have suffered many illnesses from a brain haemorrhage 16 mini strokes, lots more, but the one that worries me and my family the most is my kidney failure as I have to rely on a kidney machine 3 times a week for the rest of my life to keep me alive. Please pray for me that a miracle happens for me and that my kidney failure stops and releases me from years on dialysis, this is all i ask, I would rather have my life back to normal with my family than win the lottery.

So 2007 please give me back my life, its all I ask.

Jimmy Essex England

I respect that others are also suffering serious illnesses and I will pray for them, and ask you people out there to pray for them as well.

Thanking you all in advance, God bless you all for praying for me and others in the same situation.

Okay so I go to the doctor the other day because of a severe sore throat and I had some weird chest pains. Well he swore it was strep but we took the test and it came back negative. So he said it was just a freak virus and it would go away. Well the next day the pains are worse so I have to go back and get tested again. It comes back negative but this time another doctor comes in and says she thinks its mono. Well she feels my spleen and all and it was fine and I wasnt feeling unusually tired or achy. I had no swollen glands and no fever. But she made me go get blood taken and tested for mono. So we get the call later that night and the test came back negative. But she also says I probably have it it just wont show up for about a week. But that was two days ago. Now I feel fine, not bothered at all. Just a bit of a hoarse voice. Could I feel fine and still have mono? I'm just worried I'll think I dont have it and get my bf sick. How long should I wait to kiss him? Thanks in advance! =]

I have just recently been told that I have osteopenia with resulting osteoporosis. I am 50 years old, and have a family history of osteoporosis. I have broken several ribs over the past year. I also have been on medication that causes osteoporosis, (prednisone) for prolonged periods of time. In the past several months I have begun having to walk assisted with a cane bc I cannot walk across the room without excruciating pain. I also cannot walk straight up anymore and walk bent over. Is this permanent? I am taking calcium with vitamin D and Fosamax for my bones. I'm hoping these meds will help rectify these problems. Anyone else that can give me advice that has the same problem? Thank you..

I feel like I'm fake and not real. Like I'm in a dream or a nightmare. What's wrong with me? I also feel slightly dizzy sometimes. I asked my mother and she said it could be anything: stress, mono, low blood pressure, diabete's (sp?) and that we'll go to the doctor soon. But I'm kinda scared and I was just wondering what everyone thought. I don't have many symptons other then the very scary feeling of being in a dream and slight dizziness. It gets worst around 3-4 pm. I feel almost normal at around midnight and when I just wake up.

My son broke his stenum 12 weeks ago and has been on oral morphine along with other painkillers since, His GP is very slowly reducing his doseage but he keeps bursting into tears for no apparent reason. I wondered if anybody else had any experience of coming off morphine, he is still on a relatively high dose so he's still got a long way to go. He is only 18 and finds being as he is very embarrassing especially as it happens for no apparent reason.
