I was admitted into the hospital to have my gall bladder removed due to it being full of stones and about to burst. I went in for laposcopic (spelling) surgery and wound up coming out of it having open surgery. When I was taken back to my room my husband and mother had told me that it ended up being open surgery because the doctor cut my bile duct because I had no stem (an ultrasound and xray were both performed before surgery so they knew I didn't have a stem between my gall bladder and bile duct). I ended up having the full laposcopic surger as well as a 10 inch incision across my upper stomach because the doctor cut my bile duct. He went into the room to tell my mother and husband how surgery had went and flat out said "I messed up" and he drew a picture to show them what he had done, we kept the picture he had drew. Someone told my family I should sue for pain and extra suffering from having 2 surgeries and the fact that they had done the US and such, what do you guys think, case?

Okay, in one year my TSH jumped from 1.6 to 4.5... my endo told me this is normal as long as it's in the 'safe range' (0.7 to 6.4).

Can anyone confirm this? I didn't know it was supposed to jump around like that.

2 days ago my eye got really red and itchy and scratchy. I cannot sleep because of the pain and discomfort because it was watering too much. It hurts to blink. Now everytime i squint there is a pain behind my eyeball in the socket. I no longer have the redness but everytime I move my eyeball it hurts. Do I have an eye tumor? And will my eye fall out?

So last night around 6:30pm I had a salad for dinner.. some 1 or 2 hours later I started feeling extremely nauseous with a mild cramping in my stomach. I also had the worst headache. Later around 1am I began vomiting, felt better that's for sure. When I woke up this morning I was nauseous again, had some fruit for breakfast.. around noon I began feeling the stomach cramps again and was VERY nauseous.. been vomiting again even though I only have liquids inside of me.. Anyway the cramping is a sharp knot like pain and it brings along intense nausea... I tried chamomile tea and it just made me take a nap and when I woke up straight to the toilet I went. Oh and I am not experiencing diarrhea ..nothings coming out on that end. Anyone ever have anything like this?? Or know of something I can take for the cramping...

One more thing... My 2 year old son also ate what I had last night and he has not vomited or been fussy...he's just had some foul smelling gas since that meal.

My 14 year old son has just been diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease called Cone rod distrophy (CRD). This rare eye disease we are told will result in poor/low vision or blindness along with colour and clarity distortion. We would like to know of any one else with the condition with information on what my son may expect in the future. He is experiencing problems seeing well at night and finds bright light a problem. He is now wearing sunglasses and a cap through-out the day. We are told he will experience a slow degeneration of his sight because he has damaged cones & rods in the back of his eyes.

Recently had a baby and suddenly developed hypertension. My obgyn can't seem to tell a reason other than this occassionally happens and it may subside or maynot. The reason i'm relating this to kidney disorder is because during my pregnancy I had a lot protein in my urine but no elevation in bp.

Is there any medication on this disease? What is the cause and how to prevent it? Do you think this disease will lead to blindness because my eye was facing very dry and can't really take to strong light in the day, and hard to open my eyes. Please advise.
Thank you.

My husband has plugged up ears BADLY!! We have tried the drops you put in and they dont help much. We have tried flushing it with warm water and peroxide. We dont know what else to do!! We cant afford to go to the doctor about this!

There is one thing that my husband had heard about and it involved rolling some newspaper and lighting it on fire and it will pull out the ear wax...does that really work? if so how do you do it?? we are willing to try almost anything to get his ears unplugged!!!

When I was 16 I wore size 12 shoes, but now (23) I am fitting comfortably into a size 8. I've heard one can drop a shoe size if they lose a lot of weight, but that has not happened to me, I've stayed at a constant weight over these years. Could it be possible that my feet have shrunk?

My son is 15 months old and has had hypothyroidism since birth. He started on 25 micrograms and then at 12 months they increased his dosage to 37.5 since he was growing so fast at that time. Well he started to not sleep at night or take naps. So then his pediatrician adjusted his dosage back to 25 micrograms and then done blood work a month later everything looked great. He started to sleep normal again. Well he is now 15 months and he weighs 21.8 pounds. His doctor is worried cause his is in the 10th percintile which is low. He has now put him on pediasure 3 times a day instead of whole milk to help him gain some weight. My question is could it be the synthroid and the dosage being to high making him unable to gain weight. I mean he has hypothyroidism and that should make him overweight. He weighed 7 pounds at birth and has tripled his weight at 12 months but now at 15 months his weight is very low. Any one have any advice on the synthroid......???
