probably not but there is a thing called rebound headaches that can be caused by medications and taking them often. I would be concerned abut why she has headaches so often. i do but ia have cervical spinal stenosis with three disks removed and cadaver disks transplanted in their place. So, I take pain meds. plus Advil and I am in pain all the time. She may be having migraines, stress headaches or something worse. she may not be eating right and a lot of people get them because of dehydration...really. More water and proper eating habits. So, just try to encourage her to eat something, protein or something nutritious and drink water. Good luck.

She does need to go to the doctor since she is having so many headaches. I don't know if advil or tylenol could be addictive but it doesn't seem likely. At least not in the conventional sense. Talk to her and suggest she go see her doctor. It could be something as simple as caffeine, sinus, or stress causing the headaches but she does need to rules out more serious things.

I'd say the reason for having the headache everyday being from another underlying health problem is more probable than an addiction. Though, prolonged Tylenol use can damage the liver.

Perhaps she should visit her eye doctor first, to rule out vision issues. (straining to see things can cause headaches). Then, her regular doctor next.

She probably has an underlying causation for the headaches but to be addicted to Tylenol or Advil is highly unlikely. Stress headaches might be the culprit if it happens at work. Addiction is associated with opiate base pain killers such as percocet, vicodin, or oxycotin.

I know the exact answer. About a year ago i noticed that i also had a headache all the time so I would take a little bag of Excedrin with me everywhere. I would take about up to 6 Excedrin a day. I went to the doctor about my headaches and she told me that i had analgesic rebound headaches. In a nut shell...I was addicted to pain killers. She told me to stop cold turkey...but i ended up having to go to the ER because the side effects of stopping cold turkey were aweful. So, she needs to wean herself off of the painkillers. Let her know my story. I wish someone had told me.

A person taking - any - pain killer, prescription or over the counter - can develop headaches when they miss a dose. try to find a neurologist specializing in headaches - to ween yourself off the advil, and be treated appropriately for the headache.

pain killers are really easy to get addicted to. They are over the counter so people think that they are okay to take everyday. She sounds like she has a problem.

Tylenol can cause problems if taken too often for too long. I doubt this person is addicted except maybe in her mind. Suggest she take vitamin C or a TicTac if she needs to "pop" something.

i was kinda the same way at one point. i would b taking an aspirin almost everyday. yes she could b addicted and just needs the pain to go away. it might not b in her head tho. mayb its in like her back (hypothetical situation) and she wants pain relief from that. i wouldnt go to hasty conclusions, but if it doesnt stop, it probably means shes really addicted.

I'm a nurse. Anything is possible. Sounds like she has some personal problems and it's getting the best of her. Stress can be unbearable sometimes. I recommend you watch her and be there when or if she needs to talk.
