what are the early signs of carpal tunnel?

Usually the first thing you notice is a tightness of the thumb and
index finger, sometimes tingling and numbness also.
As the problem progresses you will probably have pain in the hand, mostly in the wrist area whenever you write, type, or use your hands a lot (gripping).
When Carpal Tunnel gets really bad it can actually effect your whole arm.
Pain, tingling and numbness can travel all the way to the shoulder.
I have carpal tunnel and this is how it has effected me, and all the research I have done I have learned these are the usual symtoms for anyone with this problem.

well i had it and like i guess my wrist would just feel like cramps and it would hurt. and i was on my golf team and it just hurt so bad to swing and then they told me i had carpal tunnel. sorry if that didn't help

I just begin to have that pain in my left wrist these two weeks. Mine is because of the heavy doors I keep pushing and opening at my workplace and in my appartment building. the only non- surgical way to treat it, is to wear a good wrist support.
