My 14 year old son has just been diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease called Cone rod distrophy (CRD). This rare eye disease we are told will result in poor/low vision or blindness along with colour and clarity distortion. We would like to know of any one else with the condition with information on what my son may expect in the future. He is experiencing problems seeing well at night and finds bright light a problem. He is now wearing sunglasses and a cap through-out the day. We are told he will experience a slow degeneration of his sight because he has damaged cones & rods in the back of his eyes.

Sounds similar to RP (retinitis pigmentosa) to me. All you can do is make sure he gets a healthy diet, exercises regularly, and takes supplements like pycnogenol and ginkgo biloba to help with circulation. Other than that, pray for a miracle.
