Infectious Diseases - January 2007

My boyfriend had a throat infection December 24th. He was prescribed Amoxicillin for it and it went away in a few days. Now today, we woke up and it turns out that not only does he have it again, but now I have it as well. We both woke up with swollen tonsils and white stuff on them. I already have Penecillin for my wisdom teeth. Is it alright if I take that for the thraot infection? Or should I wait to get some from my doctor on monday?

I never had chicken pox as a child, so when I was a young adult I took the newly available chicken pox vaccination. Does this vaccination ensure that one will never have chicken pox or do you have to re-vaccinate?

My boyfriend had this a couple weeks ago, he felt like their were razor blades in the back of his throat when he swallowed and he had white stuff on and around his tonsils. The strep test was negative. I heard most strep tests come back negative. Is this true? Why would all the symtoms be their for strep then?

I have had Chlamydia and took medication to cure it. My boyfriend also took the medication, this was nine months ago. Recently he experienced symptoms and got tested. He has tested positive and we are wondering if his medicine simply didnt work, or if it could be because of me using my vibrator. Also I am wondering how likely infertility is for me as a result of being reinfected? I had the infection for several months before my first treatment, and have probably been reinfected for about nine months now.

I know someone who knew they had the flu but went out to all the restaurants just to sit and give everyone else the flu. When i told him i had the flu he just kind of sniggered. I had to go to the emergency room. Why do people do things like this not caring about others? I have tried to stay in myself. Is this a low life or what?

I pose this question because with warmer weather two things will happen (in my opinion) 1) More people will be out and about because the cold weather will not act to keep people from going outside. 2)The lack of cold weather will not help to kill the influenza virus. Combined these two things theoretically will create more cases. Is there scientific evidence or precedent to refute or support this?

I destroyed my eye by looking at monitor with so much glare , my tear film cannot protect under this condiction. I now cannot read for long, my eye get bad easily
I tried to have idea to make eyes like normal eye
I feel "unbalanced" (the eye can't focus properly will make you a little bit uneasy in communication , your thinking will not be good to give clever answer, behavior)

I have been on Avelox 400mg for 4 days and now my other gland is doing the same and my neck back even my spine is hurting. Do you know if this could be something other than just an ear infection or a flu? I'm getting kinda worried!!!
