ok my boyfriends little sister is 20. for the last three or so years now she has had glandular fever (and yes i can't spell these medical terms, deal with it! lol) she has also developed staficocoli (how ever you spell that) in the last year. her parents think she is now getting chronic fatigue. but she has been sick for three or more years. she spends her days at home in bed, walking round the house, relaxing etc. they don't go to doctors for her as they don't agree with medicine, they go to more natural and alternative places. she doesn't have a job, didn't finish school, etc etc. Sometimes my boyfriend and i think she isn't as bad as she makes it seem, because she gets taken out to lunch at least twice a week by her parents, gets heaps of money spent on her, when they never spent a cent on the other kids, and she gets everything she wants. for example they spent one grand on her for christmas, and only a hundred on the other kids, just cos they thought it would cheer her up!is this

He is still his lively self. But after the op 3 days later went back for a check up and she said that he had a sore throat caused by the tube they put down him. Since then he still has a choking sound when out on walk, he is on a harness so he is not pulled around the throat! He has been sick a couple of times at home and loose stalls last few days , He does drink quite abit of water , but has also snapped a couple of times at us which is not like. Also he seems to be out of breath quite alot which he never used at all as he is only 15 months old staffie x jackrussel! just lying there he can be panting! do you think this may down to the op (infection etc), or some also mentioned he may have Diabetes? what are the symptons?

I had salmonella about two months ago and I have been trying to figure out where I picked it up. I couldn't think of anything specific. I do have a freshwater aquarium with guppies in it. Can you get salmonella from that?

I have a friend who I am concerned about. She gets frequent high fevers (almost daily) with no other symptoms and the doctors cannot explain it. I have been in the room with her, so I know it's not a trick such as a hot lightbulb or something. This may sound mean, but I know her and she has pulled things before for attention. Is it POSSIBLE at all to make yourself sick in this manner? PLEASE help! Thank you!

If I have a cold, is it possible to pick up another strain of virus while my body is fighting the current one? If not, why? I have been sick now on and off for over 2 months and I can't figure out if its the same thing getting better & worse all the time, or if my body is just being attacked by new virus's because my immune system is weak.

My kids both got the shot about10-12 yrs ago. Do they need a booster? I'd hate for them to get chicken pox as an adult. We have no medical ins. for 2 more months, so can't ask a dr. or go to a dr. right now.

Yesterday I developed two large boils that quickly turned to swollen lumps on my neck and jaw. I saw a doctor today, and I am now on antibiotics... but he says these infections are very resistant and that other measures might have to be taken if the infection doesn't clear in a week. Anyone have similar issues? It came on so suddenly, it was bizarre... but I read up on staph at WebMD and apparently that's not uncommon. Worries me, though. Especially since the resistant infections sometimes have to be cleaned surgically. :( Any insight from the medical profession or from personal experience (or the experience of family/friends) is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
