Whether the feces somehow contains the virus I couldn't say, but you cannot catch rabies by coming into contact with it.

"Casual contact" with a rabid animal does not constitute exposure to rabies. Rabies is transmitted through the saliva of the infected animal: you can be exposed to rabies if you are bitten (any penetration of skin with teeth) or if saliva or brain tissue from the infected animal gets into a wound, open skin, eyes, nose, or mouth. Those are the only two ways you can be exposed to rabies.

Excrement does not contain rabies virus even if the animal has active rabies. But there is a chance that the saliva of rabid animal may fall onto the poo while the rabid animal is moving around the poo. Then after that poo contains rabies virus.

Tony, there are numerous issues that would reason a cat to foam on the mouth as properly rabies, poisonous flora, poisonous toads, chemical compounds that they get into and lick up or lick off their paws, even severe exertion. i don't understand the place you reside, and whether or not rabies is known on your section, yet regardless, i could take the cat to an emergency vet in the present day.

Even if there is virus in the 'poo' you will not get it cuz it is transmitted by saliva into the bloodstream (open wound).
Although, cat 'poo' can transmitt toxoplamosis....especially in pregnant females!
