So, if I were to have unprotected sex with a girl and I don't know her history and she had HIV will I automatically get it? I'm totally gonna get tested, but is it a guaranteed thing - you do it once and you're screwed, or is it a 10% chance, 50%, 90% ??? Anyone have sure knowledge of this or a link to where I can find it?

My hubby has had a horrible cold all week and despite my best efforts not to catch it from him, I am coming down with my first symptoms. Is there anything I can do now to prevent it from getting really bad by the time I wake up in the morning? (Usually if I go to bed with any symptoms of a cold, no matter how little, I wake up terribly sick) Thanks for any help :)

What are the symptoms of mono?
Does it just come on one day, and you are really sick? Or do you slowly start feeling really tired, week, sore throat gets worse??

Well since several months when I look to a strong light...or not that strong...I see something like microbes in my eyes that are moving constantly? Does this mean that I have some virus in my body, in fact I also feel like I have some very weak grippes in myself? I know I have to see a doctor...but whats your opiniuon about the "moving" things?

Vision in bad eye is approx. 20/27 to 20/30 and I don't seem to use that eye. I have no depth perception. I think I might have had trouble in highschool using a two lens one -could only use single lens which are not used any more. Important.

I have had the flu shot a few months ago....but I am not sure what I have....

I have..
a sore throat
ear aches
really dry throat
cough with yellow phlegm
really dry nose and bleeds
mouth sores inside my mouth
chills
my whole head fills clogged and eyes are red and sleepy
swollen lymphnodes and knots under skin at jawline

This all has come on within the past day so I am going to go to the doctor tomorrow if it isn't better.....I have never had the flu so is this what it sounds like?

Hi All! I go to College, and right now there seems to be a lot of people sick around here. I try to be very clean, meaning that I wash my hands often, sanitize my hands often, and take Airborne. But, there have been a few incidences today that make me wonder if i can hold up and not get sick. Today in class, the person sitting right nect to me sneezed, and i am not sure whether he covered his mouth. He was also coughing and sniffling quite a bit The thing is, I am going home this weekend and really don't want to get sick, so a) do you think I will get sick from this person, b) what can i do that I am not doing in order to prevent myself from getting sick? Hey guys, have a quick question for you. I was at class today and sitting down when a guy walked passed me and brushed the side of his sweatshirt up against the side of my head, touching my hair, on accident. He apoligized, but when I looked at his sweatshirt it looked like there was blood on it, I don't know if it was wet for dry. I am worried now. What should I do? Let's assume the blood was HIV or Hep C positive. Is it possible for the blood to transfer onto my hair, and oak into it, or possibl infect me? Will a simple shower in hot water with shampoo clean out any of the blood, or do I need to use something more drastic? Should I cut off the hair thaat was touched with the blood. Please help, I am freaking out.
